Ms. Le Thi Yen (40 years old, in Phu Tho) practices Yoga at home through an online course. Even though she was instructed to warm up before starting the exercise, she was subjective and skipped the warm up exercise. After 5 days of training, she sprained her ankle and had pain in her knee every time she exercised. When she went to the doctor, the doctor said that in addition to the sprain, she also had a stretched ligament.

After practicing Yoga for more than 6 months, Ms. Minh Anh (36 years old, in Thanh Hoa) has pain in the neck area, and occasionally has contractions from the left shoulder up to the head area, behind the ear. At first, she thought that because she had just done advanced exercises, she had muscle pain, but it never went away. Her neck movements were stiffer than before and the pain got worse.

She went to the doctor and learned that she had a neck injury due to heavy impact. Ms. Minh Anh said that she did the handstand exercise incorrectly and put all her body weight on her head, causing a neck injury.

Specialist II Doctor Nguyen Thi Viet Ha (Hanoi Rehabilitation Hospital) said that warming up is the basic step that any sport needs to take. However, many people skip this part, leading to the joints and vertebrae not being warmed up and ready for exercise.

In addition, there are a number of related factors that affect the training process such as: practicing by watching videos online, forcing yourself into bending and bending positions without paying attention to your body's limits. , age, flexibility, and adaptation of the spine.

This situation can cause dangerous injuries. Doctor Viet Ha also recommends that practicing when hungry or right after eating is a taboo in Yoga, but many people still do it. Vigorous exercise right after eating can have a negative impact on internal organs and the digestive system.

If you practice Yoga when you are hungry, your body is running out of energy. If you still try to exercise, it can cause hypoglycemia, leading to dizziness or even fainting. The ideal time to practice Yoga is about 2-3 hours after eating.

"Even though breathing is a natural activity of the body and we don't exactly pay much attention to it. However, breathing in Yoga is a key important technique. Breathing Yoga requires meticulous guidance from teachers," Dr. Viet Ha added.

In Yoga, there is a rule of breathing that is "inhale - expand the abdomen, exhale - contract the abdomen". When practicing Yoga with the same movements, people who breathe properly will easily control their body, soften muscle fibers and limit injuries.

If you only breathe through your chest out of habit, you will quickly feel tired and cannot maintain a position for long due to lack of oxygen. In addition, choosing clothes when exercising is also very important. Simplicity and comfort are two important factors when choosing yoga clothes.

If the outfit is too loose or contains decorations, it can make the practitioner feel uncomfortable, reducing the quality of the workout session.

BECOME A YOGA TEACHER

She and her husband are both excellent students of the yoga instructor training course. Because they practice together, they are excited, don't get bored, and don't skip sessions. Especially when her body's endurance helps her respond to medication better, she is healthy and her indexes are stable, she wishes to pass that motivation on to others.

She and her husband opened yoga classes for stressed and desperate people. Every class attracts a large number of students, who practice hard. Everyone thanks her for pulling them out of the "ice" of being lazy, afraid to practice, or giving up, immersed in negative thoughts. She herself is a Chief Accountant, her work is filled with numbers, but since changing her lifestyle and taking care of her body, she suddenly feels calm and relaxed when handling work, without work pressure. drowned in worry.
