Michael BrockbankPublished 7 years ago in LongevityDo Yoga for Mobility
All yoga asanas are a combination of strength, flexibility, mobility, and balance. Using our muscles to support our foundation or hold a certain pose is something we can all definitely feel while we’re practicing, but we’re rarely aware of the hard work our ligaments, tendons, and joints do in order to make everything run smoothly.

A Big Man's Hollywood
*Note — I wrote this article ten years ago. Since then, I've moved back to New York, got married and left the industry. I currently work in nonprofits as the National Director of a small organization and am, unfortunately, in the midst of a divorce (more in my next piece).
Matthew EhrlichPublished 7 years ago in Longevity Disc Golf Changed My Life
The first time I ever played disc golf was the result of a friend of mine bugging me about it for a good month solid. He kept telling me about this thing where you take Frisbees that aren’t actually Frisbees and throwing them around in the woods.

Linda BlankenshipPublished 7 years ago in Longevity54 and Not Afraid to Take Off My Shirt
Let me just say, I love being 54! The old adage is "you're only as old as you feel." That goes for physically as well as mentally. It's great to have a youthful mindset, however, if you're out of shape and overweight, you're missing out on all of the great opportunities your mind has planned for you. Let's be honest, missing out on memorable experiences because of something you have the power to change would just suck.

This is the season for raising money for the Cancer charity Cancer Research UK by running, jogging or walking the Race for Life. Just over a week ago I took part in this great cause with my nine-year-old daughter. As well a being a worthwhile cause, another thing that was very apparent was how many children were taking part in the race. One way of getting fit is definitely with children.
Mayapee ChowdhuryPublished 7 years ago in LongevityBenefits of Rest Days
"You can sleep when you're dead." Resting is not something our culture really seems to think highly of. In fact, many people tend to assume that people who take time to relax and rest up are lazy. Nowhere is this more true than in the health, bodybuilding, and weight loss communities.
