Lifehacks That Will Improve Your Home Immediately
When you've just moved into your first place like I have, you need as many lifehacks that will improve your home immediately as possible. I'm dealing with limited space, limited experience, and a fear of losing my security deposit thanks to property damage. So if it helps me maximize space, minimize risk, and makes me feel better about living on my own (but with roommates!), then I'm all for it.

I've been seeing this craft all over Pinterest, and Youtube, and I am DIY-ing this for my rental house for when I go away to college, so I figured for my benefit and yours, I'd give some step-by-step instructions on how to create and personalize this vintage/bohemian inspired bookshelf.
Meg BarbeauPublished 6 years ago in LifehackSpring Cleaning
Why do we spend so much time obsessively cleaning? We clean our homes, cars, offices, boats, etc. We’ve even dedicated an entire season to it – spring cleaning. In case you’re unaware, allegedly March 19-25 is national cleaning week; who knew there was a national cleaning week!? As much as I dislike cleaning, I must admit there is something cathartic about it — although if I’m totally being honest, it's just my way to justify buying more stuff.

Lifehacks first became popular during the early 2000s, when people were amazed at the wealth of information on the net. Everything became easier to do, and everything seemed possible. These days, finding good lifehacks has become easier than ever before.
Sasha KonikovoPublished 6 years ago in LifehackWhat I Learned from the Minimalism Challenge
So first up, what is the minimalism challenge? Well basically, The Minimalists Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus posted the idea on their website in the spirit of “new year clear out.” The idea is that on the 1st of January, you get rid of one thing, on the 2nd, you get rid of two things, all the way up to getting rid of 31 things on the 31st. You can get a friend and see who finishes first, who gets rid of the most stuff, or you can just keep going through February, March etc. until you reach a natural end. I reversed mine because I’m a rebel and needed to see fast changes. It worked for me because I was so ready to clear stuff out, but if you don’t even know where to start, it’s probably not for you. I completed the challenge over the whole of January, getting rid of over 500 things, and here is what I learned.

Before you even head towards that overfilled wardrobe or that Tetris stacked mug cupboard, you have to ask yourself a very important question:
Lilly CharlesPublished 6 years ago in LifehackBest Mattresses on the Market to Help You Sleep Better
I did it! I finally saved enough money by eating cheap meals and making a lot of dollar store purchases that I can afford a really nice mattress. It's basically going to be the only item I own, so I'm going all in! On the weekends I'll let my son Jarret sleep in my bed and I'll use an air mattress. That way he can associate the best sleep of his formative years with me!

If there is one thing that employers love to see in their employees, it's brain power. Having a lot of creativity and intelligence is an easy way to ensure that you'll have great ideas, excellent work, and maybe even enough common sense to make the right decisions while the boss is away.
Ossiana TepfenhartPublished 6 years ago in LifehackWhat You Need to Know Before You Buy Sheets
I know nothing about sheets. I only know how to be a good lover and father. It takes intuition to do both. The same is not true of buying sheets. You need to know a lot of stuff to buy sheets! Vocabulary, your climate, what you want out of sheets. I've never asked myself what I want out of sheets! Only what I want out of a partner and out of my own life. I let my son Jarret be who he wants to be.
Devon ThomasPublished 6 years ago in LifehackWays to Boost Your Memory and Remember Almost Everything (Backed by Science)
Without getting too existential on you, our memories are one of the only ways we can transcend time. As beautiful and elegant as this observation may be, it would mean nothing if you can't remember any of them. Drastic as this may sound, in all likelihood if you don't take care of your body and mind, you're sure to lose some of those valued mental treasures.
George HermanPublished 6 years ago in LifehackTop Ten Tips for Eco-Friendly Living
It baffles me when people treat Mother Nature with disrespect. We all have to live on this planet, so it seems obvious that it's our duty to take care of it. Yet supermarkets spew plastic packaging in the most ridiculous ways (plastic wrap for oranges anyone?), people litter left, right, and centre, and the way in which animals are treated is still a huge problem globally.
