Dear Angie, It's been a while, eh hen? We used to be as tight as a priest's pocket. I still think of you, frae time tae time. Ah understand why things had tae end between us, though—I really do. There's nae come back frae what went doon that night. Quite literally.

The Unwritten Rules of Grocery Store Parking Lots...
Prologue: Lo, the Battlefield Lo, do I see before me, a kingdom of cracked asphalt and faded paint. A field where the strong prey upon the distracted, where carts roll like tumbleweeds across the prairie, and where no mortal leaves unscathed. This, my friends, is the grocery store parking lot… the true crucible of modern society.

Marty's Adventures With the Whoopee Cushion
Steve was sitting in the kitchen at the table reading the newspaper when Marty staggered in. Marty looked like he had been riding a horse for a week. "Hey, old buddy, what the hell is up with you? I was just about to head off to bed.”

Talking Fatigue
Yes, I did fall asleep while you were speaking. It was rather rude of me not to pay attention to everything you said, holding on to every word as if it were to the end. Yet that day was tiresome with work that demanded more of the energy I had. I know that you were excited about meeting with the new big boss. The future looked bright for you, as it could be, and you were just giving a great vision of the takeover. I know you were offended by my actions, as if you were not interested and simply asked to sit on the side if I were to fall asleep. You tend to give a lot of speeches and demand attention away from work that dearly needs to be finished. You were willing to share information more readily than your successors. The stress is so high to make your numbers, and your words are so many. I was just tired and could not stay awake while I was investigating the inside of my eyelids. I still heard you; I was not looking at you at the time.

Sorry to all the books I haven’t f___ed. Top Story - April 2026.
I’m sorry for labeling so many books “Did Not F___”. I know Vocal is more for writing and my post is just a rant about reading and f___ing books rather than writing them, but we’re all book lovers here so I hope it fits!

Sorry About That...
I apologize for calling you a greedy, money hungry, evil witch. I was drunk. Although over the years you helped me with getting my car fixed, you got me free drinks at the bar, and I moved in with you even when you said you did not want me to. I invited me and my son over that night anyway and stayed for months without helping you.

To Whom it may concern
To whom it may concern I am so sorry that you are too dense to comprehend the simplest of directions. That constructive criticism sends you into tears. That your mistake has cost this company money. That you need someone to mommy you now that you made this mistake.

I Meant to Report It Earlier
I’m sorry about the door. I should have mentioned it sooner. It’s just that when it first happened, it didn’t seem like something worth escalating. The handle came loose, that’s all. Not completely - just enough that it turned a little farther than it should have.

It’s 11:59 PM on a Saturday… Guess What Just Broke?
It never happens on a Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. when the repair shop is open, the hardware store is stocked, and your neighbor Dave (who allegedly “knows about wiring”) is still awake. No, no… Life saves its most catastrophic breakdowns for the sacred hour between 11:59 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 a.m. Sunday, when every professional you might call is either asleep, closed, or at karaoke belting out a chorus of “Sweet Caroline.”

Why Didn't You Give Me A Top Story?. Content Warning.
Introduction Obviously, this is fictional because the support person actually has a meaningful dialogue with the protagonist. The protagonist is dismissed, but you can see that this is a total slice of ham fiction.
