breakups
When it comes to breakups, pain is inevitable, but Humans thinks that suffering is optional.
Im sorry
“So, what are you guys planning on doing?” My brother asked as he drove, making his way to my friend’s house. “Eh you know just girl stuff.” I answered. Me and brother had always been close but not close enough for me to tell him who I was honestly going to spend the night with. I’m glad he didn’t ask anymore questions since I know he could get pretty protective. I loved him for it but sometimes the best way to learn is to make the mistakes yourself. Another ten minutes went by with the music blasting and finally we had arrived. Luckily, no one greeted me at the front door, and I waited for my brother to drive away. I waved goodbye and then he turned around to make his way back home. Yes, we were both still living at home and I was in grade 12 about to graduate. I still couldn’t legally drink but I had my G2 which meant I could drive the car alone by myself. Although my brother had to work tonight which meant he had dibs on the car we shared.

Irony in the Morning...
I flicked a cigarette off of the balcony as I slid the door open and walked back inside. “Anything planned today?” The naked guy (whose name I could not remember) asks from the bedroom as I’m throwing my shirt on and feeling around for my keys.

Outdoor Dining
"If you don't recognize me with the mask, I have on a long red jacket" Franny looked at the drafted text. She added an upside-down smiley face, then deleted it and sent the text without it. She did not want to put flirtatious vibes out there with him just yet.

All in One Short Story: The 15 Minutes with You
I’m at bedroom right now. This dreamy girl is preparing pen and notebook on the table. I suck at writing but I don’t care. Random words come through my mind until one name and that’s yours. Reminds me to be next to you in a café at that time. My first time question was our same idol, Marvin Gaye. I realize that I never ask about “me & you” real relationship.

I used to Love You
“I love you Mihret.” This I said while I stared softly across the bed, whose covers had been overturned in passion, whose milky white was illuminated brightly by wisping tendrils of light which crept nostalgically through the window. She stared back upon me, a dreamy mist obscuring her eyes. “I love you too, Miles.” God how I had prayed for those words. I wanted her indescribably, for every time I had her it seemed she slipped just a step further away.

Love Is Blind..And Sometimes Super Freaking Toxic
At the ripe age of 14 I entered the hallways of my high school—shy, timid and naïve beyond belief. Though some called me overprotected, I just called it “sheltered.” Not in a sense that I was locked away in a tower awaiting Prince Charming’s true love kiss—but nonetheless, I knew NOTHING about the world around me and just how manipulative, scary and outrageously fun it could be. This was mostly because I was a massive rule-follower. I believed (and still tend to) that rules were made to be followed. That there is a specific design setup to protect people just like me from getting hurt.
