There is something I have come to understand about love.

It should not feel like something you have to fight for every single day.

Not attention.

Not consistency.

Not basic care.

And yet, so many of us have experienced a kind of love that feels exactly like that.

The kind where you wait.

You overthink.

You question where you stand.

You replay conversations in your mind.

You analyze silence.

You wonder if you are asking for too much… or not enough.

And slowly, without realizing it, you begin to shrink yourself to fit into something that was never meant to require so much effort in the first place.

💔 When Love Becomes Confusing

It doesn’t happen all at once.

It starts subtly.

You begin by giving more.

Trying more.

Adjusting more.

You tell yourself:

“Maybe they’re just busy.”

“Maybe I’m overthinking.”

“Maybe things will get better.”

But over time, the pattern becomes clearer.

You are the one initiating conversations.

You are the one trying to maintain connection.

You are the one carrying the emotional weight of the relationship.

And yet…

You still question yourself.

Because when love is inconsistent, it creates confusion.

And confusion makes you doubt your own needs.

🌸 The Truth About Healthy Love

Healthy love does not leave you constantly guessing.

It does not make you feel unsure of your place.

It does not require you to beg for the bare minimum.

Healthy love feels steady.

Not perfect.

But consistent.

It shows up.

It communicates.

It makes space for you.

And most importantly, it does not make you feel like you are “too much” for wanting basic care.

🌿 Why We Stay in the Wrong Kind of Love

Sometimes, we don’t stay because we don’t see the problem.

We stay because we see potential.

We hold on to what the relationship could be.

What it used to be.

What we hope it will become.

But love is not built on potential.

It is built on reality.

And the reality is this:

If someone consistently shows you a lack of effort, a lack of presence, or a lack of care…

That is the truth you need to pay attention to.

Not the promises.

Not the possibilities.

But the pattern.

🌸 Knowing Your Worth Changes Everything

One of the most powerful shifts you can experience is understanding your worth.

Because when you truly know your worth…

You stop tolerating what does not align with it.

You stop chasing people who are not choosing you.

You stop settling for inconsistent effort.

You stop explaining your needs to people who are not interested in meeting them.

And instead, you begin to choose differently.

You choose peace over confusion.

Clarity over mixed signals.

Consistency over emotional uncertainty.

🌱 Love Should Feel Safe

Love is not supposed to feel like a constant emotional struggle.

It is not supposed to leave you drained.

It is not supposed to make you question your value.

Love should feel safe.

Safe to express yourself.

Safe to be vulnerable.

Safe to exist without constantly proving your worth.

And while no relationship is perfect…

There is a difference between normal challenges and constant emotional exhaustion.

🌸 Letting Go of What Doesn’t Serve You

One of the hardest parts of growth is letting go.

Letting go of what you hoped something would be.

Letting go of emotional attachment.

Letting go of the idea that if you just try harder, things will change.

But sometimes, growth requires honesty.

And honesty sounds like:

“This is not what I deserve.”

Not from a place of anger.

But from a place of self-respect.

🌸 Final Reflection

You should not have to convince someone to love you.

You should not have to chase consistency.

You should not have to shrink yourself to be accepted.

The right kind of love will not feel like a struggle.

It will feel like peace.

And maybe the real question is not:

“Do they love me?”

But:

“Does this love feel healthy, safe, and aligned with what I deserve?”
