Pineapples
I f**king love pineapples. Nothing else. Just pineapples and sunshine. Of course, you don't necessarily eat the sun…please don't eat or attempt to eat sunlight.
Ceo Of DyingPublished 2 years ago in FeastChocolate Covered Ice Cream Takes Me Back To The 90s
Some of my most fond memories take place during the summer in the 90s, back when I was in elementary school. In the summer, school was out for two months, so I could truly enjoy my hobbies without thinking about school or homework. Even the days leading up to summer were relaxed and filled with excuses to be outside. There were plenty of walks, field trips, and festivals. Sometimes, our teachers even allowed us to bring music and food so that we could have a picnic.
Zucchini Fritter-Dumplings
In general, summer means fun. Australian summer tend to be hot, so pool parties abound during the day snd early evening, with backyard barberques and dinner parties in the evening.

I am American. I grew up in the ’80s, and 90’s in the Midwest with European ancestry. Naturally, my favorite summer food would be hamburgers? Hot dogs? BBQ Ribs, perhaps? Sorry to disappoint. Finding my favorite food will take a trip to the other side of the planet. The food I am talking about is called Hiyashi Chuka, a type of cold ramen. Now hold on, this isn’t that 25-cent pack of ramen at the store I am talking about. I am not crazy; let me explain.

I have many associations with food and summer, not all of them good. Where would Britain be without the hope of a barbecue? Summers in Britain are notoriously short-lived, if they appear at all so the chance of eating outdoors or having a picnic somewhere was a real treat, especially if grey cloud cover and a torrent of rain didn't spoil it completely. Although the elements would always be looking to thwart any plans for al fresco dining, sometimes there was the chance of burgers in buns, a hot dog made out of the finest butchers' sausages as opposed to wiener dogs and coleslaw and potato salad, possibly under a sunny sky but more than likely not.

I remember as a kid going camping with my scout troop. Our first night in camp our scoutmasters would make a dump cake for all of us boys and the adults, especially our summer camp. Most of the time, the scoutmasters would make a cherry dump cake. Our scoutmasters would have to make about ten dump cakes on Sunday because we had fifty boys and ten adult leaders with us. That is a lot of bellies to fill, especially little bellies. It was always difficult to start the charcoal when it rained. We had some really bad downpours.
Lawrence Edward HincheePublished 2 years ago in FeastFour extremely delicious Turkish cheeses you must know
Cheese is an important element of Turkish culinary tradition. They eat cheese from morning to night, usually there will be 1-3 kinds of cheese for breakfast. Lunch is generally healthier, cheese can be used as a side dish, such as a grilled cheese sandwich with cashmere cheese. It is usually added to other dishes in dinner or grated and sprinkled on the surface.

Because this story is about forgiveness, I'll start off with an apology to my lactose-intolerant friends. I am so incredibly sorry that you cannot partake in this delicious dairy indulgent treat. If it helps at all, you can eat a delectable order of Chinese takeout in front of me while I enjoy my ice cream. I feel your pain with intolerances as I too have one of the soy variety, and hot damn isn't that in nearly everything?! So here's the deal: we can share in jealousy, pleasure, sorrow, and joy all at the same time. Sounds like a good start to a bad romance, am I right? Queue Lady Gaga, "Rah, rah-ah-ah-ah"! Anyway, while you're enjoying your platter of Chinese takeout, let me share my guilty pleasure with you. You can tempt and tease me all you want in return later.

Summer, the smell of sunscreen and a combination of barbecued steak fills your lungs and you can hear the swishing of the waves of the nearby ocean or lake, and you can feel the heat turning your body into a tan with freckles appearing on your nose. The air is filled with laughs of children playing outside and the sound of suburban men opening up beers with the click and hiss as they chat with their buddies while standing by the barbecue. Women are enjoying their fruity cocktails while sitting down in their summer hats. Dogs happily chase their tails or their favorite toy as a bike goes by ringing a bell. This is what summer is to me(at least one version of it). Another version of summer is sitting by the campfire singing songs the the guitar roasting marshmallows and staying up late eating smores and then later admiring the stars and falling asleep to whispers of goodnight (that would be the second version of a great summer).
The Bodacious Brandywine
Will gave me the high sign fifteen minutes before the Farmer’s Market opening bell He had what I wanted and was keeping it safe. The fragile Brandywine tomatoes were tucked under his table and out of the hands of careless potential purchasers who looked over his crops with their fingers as well as their eyes. His care is essential. Will is one of the few vendors who even try to bring Brandywines to market. They are that delicate. Find them in a grocery store? No way. Not wanting to be too obvious I gradually moved over to the corner of his booth. I was ready to get my share at the very first moment.

Nothing tastes like the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Running seven weekends from mid-August to the end of September and sometimes into October, summertime ends with the flavors of the renaissance. While many Minnesotans are getting their end-of-summer fill at the State Fair, I am filling my stomach and my soul at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
