You Can Pig Out at The Committed Pig
The Committed Pig restaurant name -- actually The Committed Pig Burger and Pancake House -- brings up many questions. Is the "pig" for pork products on the menu or for the patrons who will surely want to eat a lot? It's almost as mysterious as trying to figure out a band name like, say, The Smashing Pumpkins.
If you’re thinking this is straight out of a 1980’s food show magazine, you would probably be right. The best part is that it’s still being ordered and enjoyed daily.
The Family Pizza Tour
There are two things every family enjoys. No matter who you are or where you come from, we all love a road trip and we all love pizza. This summer we decided to drive from our home in Saskatchewan to visit our families in South-Eastern Ontario. A 38 hour road trip, in a Yaris, with a nearly 3 year old who is full-on three-nager and a busy 6 year old boy.
Great Places to Eat in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
I love traveling to different cities and towns in different states and just immerse myself into the city culture. A couple of weeks ago, I took a much needed birthday vacation to Glenwood Springs to get away from life in 2020. I stayed in Glenwood Springs for 3 days. There are so many tourist things to do there. Glenwood Springs is most known for their hot springs. But I’m writing this article to shed light on the food scene there. Now I love to eat and try new restaurants. For the 3 days that I was in town, I tried a new restaurant for every meal. When I got into town on the first day, there were many options to choose from. I just got off a 6 hour train ride there so I was very tired and didn’t want to travel far for a meal. Right next to the Glenwood Springs train station was a burger bar called The Grind.
Food Culture in Houston Texas
One of the cities with the greatest restaurant scenes of all time is Houston. In 1998, the USA Today newspaper referred to Houston TX as “the dining-out capital of the US” because it’s residents eat at restaurants more often than locals in any other city in America. Houston also prides itself on having one of the lowest dining out prices amongst other major US cities restaurants.
My Favorite Treats in Boston
A few years ago I worked in Boston, so I was super close to the city and I found myself exploring a decent amount of the time. One of my favorite things to do was find new spots to eat at, whether they be sit-down restaurants or just places to grab a quick bite to-go. I definitely still have a lot more adventuring to do throughout the city, but through my prior explorations, I've found some of my favorite foods that I want to share! If you ever find yourself in Boston, be sure to check out some of these spots for some awesome treats and meals.
A Foodie's Guide to Pancakes around MA
As a self-proclaimed foodie, I truly can't get enough of going out to eat. I'm the annoying friend who makes everyone wait to eat until I've gotten a good picture of their food - cameras eat first, of course! When I'm not going out to eat, taking a million different pictures of the tablescape, I'm usually looking for new restaurants to visit so I can do just that. And one of my absolute favorite things to do is going out for breakfast - seriously, who doesn't love a big heap of hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, greasy slices of bacon, or my favorite: stacks of huge pancakes?!

Eating Around Philadelphia
The Philadelphia food scene is very sophisticated, when not in a world pandecmic you need a reservation at just about any place, espically since some restaurants have few tables, like less then 10! There are also tons of BYOB places, meaning they are very food foward and will only serve you flat or sparkling water. Honestly you could live in Philadelphia your whole life and rarely have to repeat a resturant.
I keep a running list of the places I would travel to. Some dream of historical monuments and natural landscapes. But what is my motivation for general travel you ask?
Newman's Bakery is Keeping Swampscott, MA Sweet
Situated in the heart of a small, tranquil seaside Massachusetts town, Newman's Bakery has been a Swampscott staple since 1966. The decades-old bakery is a family-run business co-owned and operated by brother and sister duo, Jessica Newman and Bernard Newman.
2 Good Indian Buffets in South Jersey
Not that I'm a fan of buffets, but I stumbled across one one day that left me quite a pleasant surprise. I knew I liked curry but I didn't know all the different ways I would like it, and this place proved to me that I could have it any way I want. Not getting beside myself, but the way these curry-like dishes tasted left me speechless. There were so many different flavors like tomato, coconut vegetable, and creamy spinach. Best of all, they had them right next to each other with their native names out front so you know what to look for when you go back or elsewhere. No, best of all was the price. You could get all this for less than $14 at the lunch hour with the drink included. Desserts were a taste too but I'm not a huge fan of pudding. I did go for the milk and cheese balls dipped in syrup at Palace of Asia in Maple Shade though. It's called Gulab Jamun, and it tasted heavenly. The first restaurant I was referring to is Coriander, located in Voorhees, New Jersey. Both menus of these places complement each other and are worth checking out.
Snooze Sparkles with Delicious South Austin Creativity
Brunch is a huge part of Austin's weekend diner culture, and the competition in this town is steep with so many brilliant culinary minds constantly crafting the next decadent morsel to appease hungry guests. I will admit that for a long time I missed brunch. No, I didn't miss it in as I pined longingly for it. I literally was sleeping through it on most weekend days, much to my dismay. While I am not one of those people who HAS to start their day with breakfast, my boyfriend is, and thus it became quite a challenge to find a quality place still serving a full breakfast menu at 2 pm that wasn't "fast food." However, recently we have begun to find ourselves awake on Saturdays at a normal morning hour and, to our delight, the world of brunch is now within our reach!
