Bad habits
Why am I here?. Top Story - August 2023.
After reading some stories from others who have confessed their reasons for writing, I am inspired to share my own. The pandemic has changed me in ways I never expected but let's be honest, anyone who says the pandemic didn't change them in some way, shape, or form, is telling a bold faced lie. I am a 39 year old female and feel as if I could be the poster child of late in life diagnosis of ADHD and Anxiety. I'll spare you the details of my medication journey since I've covered that in another story (No Manual for This). I am now medication free and learning to navigate life with two mental illnesses that feed off of each other and can keep me incredibly high strung if I let them.

When Depression Comes Back . Content Warning.
About a year ago I posted some tips on how I was able to keep depression at bay with showers, meditation and affirmations. I wanted to share this information with everyone because I know how debilitating depression can be. For about a year I was able to live depression free. My mood had ups and downs but nothing like what I experienced before. However two months ago that all changed. I work in the education field and have a pretty set routine from Monday to Friday. I go to sleep early, wake up early, work for 8 hours, go home and follow a detailed written schedule everyday except for the weekends.

Trash
As I checked in to the hotel the woman above checked me in. I had to give her my tribal identification and my credit card. When I explained that the conference was paying for my hotel, she didn't have it showing that in front of her. I said I would take care of it the next day and was on my way.

Stampede: Greatest Show on Earth
Stampede is the biggest event in my hometown. The smell of deep fried foods waft through the air, suddenly cowboy boots and shoes appear in store windows, downtown is covered in comical drawings of the Midwest. The atmosphere of Calgary does a 180 turn from people afraid to talk to one another to excitement. Stampede means summer is actually here. The weather turns undeniably hot and with the combination of buzzing food trucks; the temperature rises. The world looks different. For one thing, I love the excuse to wear my cowboy boots that are stashed away in the back of my closet. Secondly, going to the concerts are worth saving every penny. Thirdly, the food! Weird food ideas such as deep friend pickles or mustard and ketchup ice cream can be only found at the Stampede. The early and free stampede breakfasts at random grocery stores or parking lots fill up with people waiting to get their pancakes and maple syrup with a side of sausage. The carnival rides and games are all excitement and fun. This sounds like a good time doesn’t it?

Thoughts or Fiction. Content Warning.
Does some people really do bad things on purpose? I often think of doing bad things, but I don't do them because I know it will hurt people. So does people really do bad things knowing it's bad and it will hurt people? Why? There's only one reason that would compel me to hurt someone and is if someone hurt one of my loved ones. Otherwise, they're not worth the trouble. Why would I hurt someone who's beneath my hatred?

My Freaky Foray as a Phone Psychic: Part 3
Despite psychic sites being labeled “For Entertainment Purposes Only”, most fans take their psychic readings VERY seriously. Many were so impatient to hear good news that they would call one or more psychics several times a week, spending thousands of dollars yearly calling psychic lines.

Unfortunate Life
The episode starts with Hope coming out of her fully prepared room, checks her makeup briefly, and then finds the driver waiting outside for her. She rushes down because she is getting late and sits in the car, saying, "I am getting late." The driver reassures her, "We will be there in time," and starts the car. Meanwhile, at the college, she arrives, and every student looks at the car and exclaims, "The Principal is here." She steps out of the car, wearing a white shirt, white tight pants, black heels, and a ponytail hairstyle. Every girl gets jealous of her and remarks, "She is so hot, isn't she?" The boys chime in, saying, "She is hot, but she's the Principal," and then, in Class B-37, the guys Sumeet, Kabir, Arnav, and Aanchal are sitting and chatting while Sanjay enters the room.
