#S4TM: The Break-Up Playlist
Hey everyone, Glenn Rodriguez here. Welcome to the first written edition of Songs For The Moment. Breaking up sucks. We've all been through it. I just went through it myself. There are so many different ways we cope with our relationship's demise. People drink themselves into a stupor. Some move on right away while others stay in their houses, locked in eating tubs of ice cream. We here at Songs For The Moment use the power of music to get us through the rough days ahead after we say our final goodbyes.

"Stacy's Mom" This song is just way too catchy. I don't know a single person who isn't capable of singing every word of it!
The InversionPublished 6 years ago in BeatSoundcloud Artists You Should Check Out...
I spend a lot of my time going through my Soundcloud stream and discover sections. I find so much new music and new artists this way it is insane. If you are not on Soundcloud and you LOVE music, I recommend getting an account simply just to discover all these hidden gems that we don’t hear on the radio or on TV. I download most things that are free and I buy anything that I love, that isn’t available for free download. I am a firm believer in paying for my music. As a musician myself along with my partner, I see how the music industry is damaged by the high levels of music piracy. These days musicians find other ways of making money from their music, and that includes streams, gaining more followers so they are more likely to book shows, and generally doing the social media thing that we all wish we didn’t have to do to keep our creative asses working.

Hello, one and all. This new 'list is a labor of love for the both of us; me and my buddy Calvin (Wilford Brimley loves to eat Oates) Cherry have an affinity for R&B music and this may be the first in a series of 'lists that will highlight the best of the genre. First, a small lesson about the first tentative volume of this 'list.
Carlos GonzalezPublished 6 years ago in Beat2000s Rock Playlist
Rock 'n' roll, my favorite genre of music. So beautiful and passionate, true to themselves rockstars generally live the life they want to or at least don’t handle being told what to do. As I’ve gotten older I’ve found myself listening more of old rock from the 70s, 80s, and sometimes the 90s but I’ve always had a passion for 2000s rock. The playlist I am going to make will consist of bands like Shinedown, Seether, Staind, Theory of a Deadman, 3 Doors Down, etc. I will also add a link to a YouTube playlist that has every song listed already on it. Ten songs will be in the playlist.
Kaylee ChaffinPublished 6 years ago in BeatBest New Hip Hop Songs That Are Bringing Back the 90s
Many fans consider the 90s to be the golden age of rap music. Nas, Biggie, and the Wu-Tang Clan are just a few of the landmark voices from the decade that have had an undeniable effect on contemporary artists. In fact, we seem to be on the cusp of a 90s-style resurgence, with the best new hip hop songs throwing it back to the beloved era.
The 'List: 'Flashdance' 35 Years Later
Hello, one and all. The 1980s were a time of relatively simple pleasures. We could still buy 45 PRM singles and 33-1/3 vinyl LPs. We now had MTV as our other music source. We didn't have the internet, YouTube, iPads, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest - hell, even the thought of sending mail electronically hadn't been realized. Nope. We still had cassettes, Walkmans, and video arcades with everything from Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders etc. etc. It was a time of sweet, simple pleasures.

I just read this crazy article about David Bowie, one of my favorite artists of all time. It was insane but it fits someone like David well, at least in my opinion.

The Neighbourhood is my definite top favorite band of all time. I have been around since the days of 2012 when the I'm Sorry... EP came out. Across time I have noticed that every album/ep that they have come out with, in my personal opinion, gets better and better every time. Most people know this talented band from one of their top famous songs "Sweater Weather," which came out in 2013.
Nydia JohnsonPublished 6 years ago in BeatEvery 'The Chainsmokers' Song: Worst to Best
I spent a day listening to The Chainsmokers' songs over and over. Not including remixes. This the result. Strap in. If it's not on Spotify, it's not on the list.

To be honest, this is the only thing keeping me from buying the next plane ticket out of Portland. As much as I love my life right now, being at university, seeing my friends and boyfriend everyday, playing lacrosse, something in me is always wanting to be on the move. I sit in lecture thinking of backpacking in the Wallowa Mountains, sipping coffee in Australia, or train rides through Germany.
