Chapter 1 - Michael and Stella Michael DiGregario, a large man at six feet; pushing fifty, was a musclebound, blue collar man who saw his fair share of misery and tragedy. What no one could do, was call him a terrible father. The day his daughter, Stella, a precocious, 9 and three quarters, came home from the hospital; his own beating heart must've stopped at least three times.

Review: 'Halloween Kills' (2021)
Hello, one and all. Three years ago, I reviewed David Gordon Green's sequel-cum-reboot that shirked everything from 1981 and on. I felt it was a promising, but all-too-familiar-and-beyond-old-hat meta-sequel that capitalized on Jamie Lee Curtis' screen presence and her iconic "scream queen" status. Halloween Kills was held over due to the COVID-19 pandemic's grip on the theater industry. With vaccinations doled out now, will it be worth seeing the latest Shape bloodfest on the eve of All Saints on the big screen (scream)?

My 'Weenie Playlist!
Hello, one and all. Once upon a time, I used to be known as the 'List maker. I would often compile a list based of a favorite artist or genre and I would post it. My trajectory has changed somewhat, but without belaying the obvious; I love a great challenge as to what could be the definitive Halloween music list. So...here it is, and by the way; I do not play by the rules. Yes, there are perennial favorites you hear every year; but hey, I like to mix the sugar honey ice tea up!

A Re-introduction
Hello, one and all. As rapper LL Cool J coined the phrase: "don't call it a comeback; I've been here for years." For years, this gay, scary-looking bear was blogging regularly on this platform. His passion and forte was writing about movies and compiling music lists. It was fun, a great time-passer and one would hope, a gateway to a great, lucrative career in fiction and film writing.

The 'List: Aretha Franklin (1942–2018)
Hello, one and all. As I sadly remind myself, our gods and idols are mere mortals in the end. We've lost our fair share of many, but, just today (as this fan had written this spur-of-the-moment eulogy when the announcement was official), my heart sank like a stone when one of our musical goddesses finally joined the invisible heavenly choir. She truly earned the title of the Queen of Soul.

Halloween Horrorthon 2018 - The FinalistsTop Story - July 2018
Hello one and all. So, it's 2018 and I'm laying a few key choices for which movies to watch on the eve of all Saints. As I did last year, I managed to add a new movie, which was the defacto belated sequel, Jigsaw which really should've died along with the torture porn craze that it started with. No big surprise, the one on everyone's lips is the David Gordon Green reboot of Halloween which is said to be a direct 40-year-old sequel to the classic 1978 John Carpenter classic which is also bypassing all of the franchise films in between. We will see if that film makes the cut as the final one in my annual horrorthon.

The 'List: 4th of July
Hello one and all. Barbecues, fireworks, beaches, picnics, blasting really good music, family and friends having fun - all mainstays of Independence Day; the holiday we celebrate every July 4th. How this holiday came about of course, was when the Declaration of Independence was signed by our founding fathers in the year of 1776.

Review: 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' 2018
Hello, one and all. The first Jurassic World feature in 2015 would be the ultimate mind-blower for me. As a fan of the first two Jurassic Park films with a so-so feeling for the third, much shorter installment, I always knew what the charm was of this series.

Review: 'Hereditary' 2018
Hello, one and all. After a lengthy sabbatical, I have returned. So far, in my humble opinion, 2018 is going down as the worst year for movies — ever! I exaggerate not! So far, with at least two exceptions: Black Panther and Incredibles 2, no other film has been even remotely worth my interest.
