Music and Mood
I had a thought the other day about music and decided to write about it today. I listen to music every day, pretty much all day. I have music on in the car, I have music on at my desk while working, I have music on when I'm cleaning at home, and when I'm at the gym. I have music on getting ready to go out, and I have music on when I'm taking my bubble bath. Now, depending on my mood depends on my music. In the car and at my desk I listen to a local radio station, Play 92.1 FM. They play throwbacks from the '90s and early 2000s. This music pumps me up! It reminds me of simpler times in high school. Memories with my classmates, and being at night clubs in my early 20's. When I'm cleaning I listen to the same type of music, only I use YouTube playlists on my TV. At the gym, I listen to old-school R&B/ Hip Hop from 90's early 2000's, but only if I'm using the gym's speakers and Spotify. If I'm listening to my iPod, it's Country. I know weird right? While taking in some self-care I listen to spa music or instrumental. I have a special "Bath Time" playlist on my iTunes.

Keep Calm and Rock On
Rock music is a type of popular music genre that started out as "rock and roll" in the United States during the late 1940's and early 1950's. Rock music formed into a wide variety of styles in the mid-1960's and later, specifically in English-speaking places like the United Kingdom and the United States. Rock music has influences from multiple genres like jazz and classical music. Rock primarily utilizes instruments like the electric guitar as part of a rock group with the bass guitar and drums. Rock music is always song-based. It has a 4/4 beat and it has verse-chorus form.

Musical Therapy
These songs shall play from the clouds. Or at least in my paradise that’s what’s going down. I wish for instrumentals to play in the background of my life at all times. That way I can be alone without feeling the loneliness of it all. For my most meaningful playlist be made for anyone willing to be influenced by the music I am excited to share. Here it is:

Dear Love, I Hate You
It’s only fitting that a holiday that’s supposed to be all about love occurs during the darkest, harshest, and most desolate season of the entire year. Winter means a lot of things to a lot of people, and so does love. When I think about love, I think about disappointment, self-loathing, betrayal, unrealistic expectations, advice from people who have zero idea what they’re talking about, among many other things. I will say that I was not considered a ladies’ man growing up, and while my luck with women has been marginally better since I’ve gotten to college, I am still here, counting the ways and examples that show me I am destined to die alone. As music has been a massive comfort to me over the years, I have become somewhat of a expert on songs suitable for when you’re in a corner hating yourself. There are many songs that deserve mention on a list like this (WAY too many to list, in fact), but I managed to create a list that I feel perfectly encapsulates what it means to hate love, and what it means to hate Valentine’s Day.

Romance is everywhere... and it's scary.
I have become a bit of what I call a cynical single- no not a person that is cynical about singles but a person that is cynical about everyone that isn't single. I’m perfectly fine being alone and plan to be for a while. Single and loving it baby! I’m pretty strong in my mindset, that is, until, I decide I want to watch a feel-good movie… Let me set the scene;

The Anti-Love Song: Is That All There Is To A Fire?
So what is an anti-love song? I'll tell you that most breakup songs don't cut it. Songs about assholes cheating don't cut it. Even Betty Davis's "Anti-Love Song" doesn't qualify in my book: the song is about a man who is so attractive--Cause I know you could possess my body--that she avoids him for fear of falling too hard.
