Coming to America
I'm an old lady and today my doctor is telling me that I only have a few more months to live. I came over from Ireland with my husband on a great ship. We came over to America to escape the war in 1916. The Irish War of Independance. We sailed for days. We knew that when this ship landed on the new land, our first steps in this new world was going to be a great new adventure and to be able to share it with my love, I was looking forward to a great life. We all knew, everyone on the ship knew that when we arrived we would have a whole new and better and richer life.

Open for Conversation
We look across the room at each other...both of us feeling that same feeling. That connection you get when you look at someone and they are thinking about the same thing that you are thinking about. I keep going on about my business, but there is that sneak peek between the two of us that I just can’t shake.

Five & Dime?
Mallory Corner Kitchen which is located in the small town of Mallory, NY which is located about 15 miles north of Syracuse, NY is one of thee best places to get food! It’s not much of a place to look at, but the food that comes out of that place is sensational. The building has been around for a century.

Elli
My name is Monique and I come from the mid-eastern part of Africa where I work at a rescue foundation. Here we save any animal that is in need of our attention. We had one particular animal here that was the most interesting of all times. Our girl Elli. She was thee most beautifully amazing creature this land could ever want or care for.

Dear Aunt Shirley
Dear Aunt Shirley, With everything that was going on in my home, I didn’t have much to look up to. My family had no values, no faith, no kind words to speak of. It seemed like everything around me was a free for all. Do what you need to do to survive, that was what I was taught. Survival for me meant trying to understand and at the same time trying to escape the world that I had been plunged into.
