Etiquette Forgotten
When my mother and youngest sister invited me to visit them in India and participate in their spiritual pursuits, I accepted. While there, I humbly followed etiquette, to the best of my limited ability, in a temple and on several bus trips to sacred places not far from the holy city, Vrindavan, where I was staying. I participated by listening to the gurus, singing songs, and chanting on a circular strand of beads. Yet, it was from this appreciative and grateful mood that I strayed, and disrespected gurus and devotees through the purchase of spiritual items for pleasure.

Create Success Every Day with Rewards and Affirmations
As spring approaches, I’m taking a fresh outlook at getting my life in order. To accomplish this, I’m implementing recognition for all the little things on my journey towards a goal. Two ways I’m doing this is through a reward-tracking system and affirmations. Giving myself rewards and celebrating achievements is beneficial for both self-esteem and confidence. These two traits make life more enjoyable. The celebration of accomplishments no matter how small or insignificant, is a major component of my spring refresh. I will not wait for a goal to be reached to reward yourself. Moreover, I intend to recognize everything I can that aids in progressing towards my destination.
