A Unique Facet of Mine

A unique facet of mine is the ability to listen.

Developed through music – an ear for lyricism.

However refracted others’ words may weigh.

However far from truth they stray.

The gift of time has been offered.

To be accepted by the other is to give respect.

Like a prism that captures the rays of the sun.

People are diverse in experiences and tongue.

If we learn to listen nonjudgmentally,

less conflict and misunderstanding is achieved.

Whether within the domestic unit or society,

Violence can be avoided, and joy, happiness, and contentment received.

A unique facet of mine is the ability to listen.

With no other engagements or pressing business.

Voicing our opinions and thoughts peacefully

Prevents regrets and blaming - allowing rationality.
