American Greed and how it hurts the 99%
I’m not an economist, and this is just my opinion on the state of the US and my thoughts on how to fix it. I thought about this for a long time, and I wrote a big post about it, but then I decided for simplicity I’d write separate articles.

Songs of Teen Angst
I’m older then probably most people who write for Vocal (I could be wrong), I was a teen in the 80’s. I’ve always liked rock music, but it got harder as I got older. In junior high I was into bands like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and Twisted Sister, but when I got into high school I got into harder bands Metallica, Megadeth, Testament. Now I still like all those bands, but I’ve gotten into others like Jinjer and Nightwish.

Sweet Nostalgia
I don’t really get nostalgic in the way most people do. I don’t go pining for what were better days, I don’t see something or hear a song and sigh, but I do miss certain trends. I’m going to pick a trend I miss for myself and one that I miss for women (I hope this doesn’t sound sexist).

Why I think BDSM relationships are better than vanilla ones
I’ve been in both BDSM and vanilla relationships and BDSM relationships have always felt more fulfilling and more honest. This is because in BDSM you have to have full trust that the person you're with won’t hurt you because some of the stuff you do can be physically and mentally damaging. When you’re tying someone up, or flogging them, giving them orders, choking them or manhandling them you have to have a certain amount of trust that you may not have in a regular relationship.

Can we fix climate change?
On St. Patrick's Day I went with my father to have dinner. We saw one of my father's friends at the restaurant and one of the topics we had was about climate change. He was saying that electric cars are worse than gas cars, and that we can't fix climate change so we might as well just give up (I'm paraphrasing). I was shocked! Why give up? That to me is cowardice. What are we supposed to do, give up and not even try? Tell our kids, grand kids and great grandkids "sorry we fucked things up, tough luck for you?" Or should we try and heal this planet?
