Topiary and The Great Perhaps
“I am here to seek a great perhaps.” The words came out mechanical, as if read from a script. But Clarice stood sure of herself with her hands on her hips and her stubborn chin held high. She was standing at the gates of Farmer Bill's estate. He had come running to the gate - at a snails pace - when he had heard a small voice calling his name. And it's where he stood now, in the only break of the white picket fence that surrounded the perimeter.

Signs You're Talking to a Narcissist
Talking to a narcissist is like talking to a brick wall. Talk to a brick wall, and people will call you crazy. Talk to a narcissist and, well... you'll make yourself crazy. It can be difficult to navigate the conversational quirks that dictate a narcissists normal speech patterns. They rely on cheap-tricks to bait you into giving supply; they're like a black hole, and the more life-force they suck from you, the bigger their ego becomes. Worse still, if they recognise you as an easy source of supply, they'll keep coming back for more.

The one who refers to co-workers by patronising nick-names and claps them on the back in a show of false comradery. Insidious as they are, a more dangerous personality lurks in the grandiose narcissists shadow; the covert or 'vulnerable' narcissist.

Ten LGBT+ Audio Book Recommendations
Audiobooks have been game-changers for my reading life the past three years. I went from reading bed-death - zero books a year, to a modest (but healthy) one a month. I occasionally try skimming through a novel, but most of my reading at the moment is done through Audible.

Songs That Stick Like Glitter, A Pride Playlist
June 2021 marks the the 51st anniversary of the first ever pride-march. For those of us who are still in lockdown, pride celebrations might look a little more like Netflix in bed with a jumbo bag of Doritos, but that doesn't mean you have to completely surrender all your pride-celebration staples.
