The Willing Wear Black
The roar of the pistol was deafening and the kick knocked it from my hand. The Barn Owl let out a startled screech and flew up with a flurry of feathers. Now here I stood looking at blood leaking out onto the ground. A death I had never intended to cause. But I couldn't submit to him. I had to make him stop. I had to get away. My head swam with the details of the hours leading up to this moment.

How to Thwart Psychic Attacks
In my previous story (read here), I defined psychic attacks and how they work. If you made it to this part 2, I can only assume you somewhat believe in psychic attacks and therefore, now have interest in thwarting them. So, how exactly do you protect yourself from psychic attacks? There is actually no one way to do it. The "right" way is the one or combo that works best for you. My main line of defense is self protection. I start there because it allows me to protect myself without harming another which is important to me. I don't want to hurt others, I just don't want to be hurt. And to keep me safe, I raise my vibration. Why? I'll use this fax analogy. Although antiquated technology, it works as a good explanation.

What Are Psychic Attacks and How Do They Work?Top Story - December 2021
Psychic attack. UGH! What a horrible thing to deal with. Everyone comes under psychic attack now and again. The first thing is to define psychic attack. There are many definitions out there along with a good many theories. Certainly, every authority figure out there has their own spin on it. I share the one I like best.

Getting Resolutions Right - Small Things Make BIG Differences
It's a common practice to review the past year on New Year's Eve and then make resolutions for the upcoming year. For me, the key is to make realistic resolutions, otherwise they become nothing more than a fantasy or just a meaningless activity to do on New Year's Eve.

Finding the Right Placement For Your Stories
Finding where to submit your stories can be daunting when you first start on Vocal. Even as a nearly 6 month veteran on the platform, I have a very narrow submission rate to the vast variety of tags available in the Communities. This prompted me to compile the Communities and their Tags (aka subcategories) into a format where I could see what was available and decide where the best fit for my story lies.

Finding the Right Placement For Your Stories
I suppose this is technically a Part 3 regarding Vocal Communities and their tags, but I am calling it Part 1 because this time, I sorted all the tags alphabetically showing the Community they exist in. As would be suspected, some tags are very Community specific, while others can be found in many Communities. By generating this list, it enables a Creator to better refine where to submit their story rather than doing it by happenstance and letting Vocal figure out where to put it. (Confession - I have done that in the past.)

How Vocal Communities Confuse Me So
Is it just me, or are some of the names for Vocal Communities confusing? For instance, Cleats I would have expected to be all sports. Instead it is specifically for Soccer. But then there is Unbalanced which is for all the other sports with an explanation of "The Unbalanced explores the world of sports and the culture surrounding it; from basketball to baseball, football, hockey, wrestling, and more." But why is it called Unbalanced? What is the connection of sports to that word?

Vocal Communities & Submission Categories
As the subtitle suggests, there is a Part 1 to this which can be found here: I had hoped to get this all done in one story. However, due to a pestering error that kept occurring when trying to save, I had no choice but to abruptly end Part 1 and continue forth. I am hopeful that the error won't plague this story as well.

How You Choose to Help the Poor Can Have Consequences that Hurt Them and Your City
Everyone with a heart wants to help the poor. That is a truly noble concept. It is HOW you go about it that determines whether you genuinely help the poor or just grow their numbers in your city.
