Psychic attack. UGH! What a horrible thing to deal with. Everyone comes under psychic attack now and again. The first thing is to define psychic attack. There are many definitions out there along with a good many theories. Certainly, every authority figure out there has their own spin on it. I share the one I like best.

What is a Psychic Attack?

"Psychic attacks are defined as the manipulation of supernatural energies and forces. Psychic attacks occur when dark and negative energetic vibrations are sent from one individual to another individual or place creating disturbances in the energetic and physical bodies of the person or place."

-- Psychic and Spiritual Development For The New Age By C L Moore

Now stop and think about that definition for a second. Psychic attack doesn't require spells, or voodoo or hoodoo -- it is "negative energetic vibrations sent from one individual to another individual" or creating disturbances in the energetic and physical bodies of the person or place. Wow! But how does that work?

How Does A Psychic Attack Work?

Have you ever had someone give you a nasty glare? Have you ever given someone a nasty you-know-where-you-can-go look? Those my friends are psychic attacks. No bells and whistles, props or rituals necessary. Just an intense negative thought directed at another person is the keystone to psychic attacks. Why is this such a big deal? Because people do that type of behavior all the time without ever giving it a second thought. So far, these examples given were just a momentary spike of negative energy, probably psychically equivalent to flipping someone off and maybe even accompanied by the gesture. Hey, I know that isn't nice but sometimes we react in the heat of the moment without thinking.

Ok, let's think about this a bit further and expand on it. What if someone gets angry at another person and just keeps seething and thinking about this person vengefully or spitefully? Thinking about the situation over and over again with a constant negative tone regarding the person. Now, we're revving things up. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, this person is psychically attacking the person they are thinking about! Pretty scary thought isn't it? To think people who are being negative and nasty can put thoughts of you in their minds and send a nasty psychic attack your way.

The Weapons of Psychic Attacks - Thoughts Are Things

But wait, you say, how could a thought do such a thing? Because thoughts are things. And they vibrate, and that vibration creates a reaction that webs out. Think of it like this, if you take a pebble and throw it into an otherwise still pool of water, it causes a ripple. The size of the pebble and the force of the throw determine how big the ripples are and how far they travel outward before they fade away again. So, if you threw a really big rock, that would make a large splash and huge ripples. In an extreme case, think of a tsunami tidal wave and the damage that can do. Hopefully, there is no one alive out there with the ability to be so negative and intense that they can cause an event like that.

So negative thoughts work much the same way as the pebbles and rocks being tossed into water, only the negative thoughts are vibrating outward and going out to the person being targeted. It's really the same thing as sending out love and kindness, prayers and blessings -- only with a nasty, negative twist. And just like there are people that deliberately pray and do blessings, there are people that will deliberately do psychic attacks. However, most of the time, I truly believe we are just the hapless victims of some negative-nellie churning away in a fit of anger that is clueless what they are flinging at us.

Know Better - Do Better

Once you become aware that your thoughts are things, have energy, and can negatively impact others, you have a much bigger responsibility about managing your thoughts and behaviors so that you don't become the negative-nellie slinging evil nasties around. Know Better - Do Better.

Watch for my next post on what to do when you are targeted by a psychic attack.
