Sunak's Director of Communications Quits.
Rishi Sunak's Director of Communications Amber de Botton has quit. Ms. de Botton has only served a year in the job. De Botton has quit as next year's general election looms large. It is thought, by many, that the general election will be held in the autumn of 2024. However, the government could hold out until January 2025. If the government's poll ratings remain dire Sunak will probably hold out until the last minute. In this case, it could well be January 2025.

French Not Doing Enough!
When Rishi Sunak met Emmanual Macron in 2021 the UK pledged 48 million Pounds to help the French. To help intercept migrant boats crossing the Channel. Some wondered if Macron had gotten Sunak by the old proverbials. It looked like the UK was giving the French money for nothing and maybe we did. With French interceptions of migrants down to 42% from around 45% one wonders if are they having a laugh at our expense.

Vivek Ramaswamy: Successor to Trump?
The UK right now has a right-leaning, Hindu British Indian, as its Prime Minister. By the name of Rishi Sunak, a self-made man, who had an exclusive, private education, at Winchester College. Reaching the dizzying heights of Head Boy, don't you know. Making his money from the finance industry, marrying the daughter of an Indian businessman, owner of INFOSYS. Became Chancellor under Boris Johnson and eventually, succeeded him. His agenda on immigrants and other policies is made manifest. Sunak became the youngest Prime Minister since William Pitt The Younger. Sunak at 43, is the first non-Christian, to become Prime Minister. Disraeli was a Jew converted to Christianity. Technically he was not the first non-Christian to hold the office of UK Prime Minister.

Why Are Certain Groups Over-Represented in Ads?
If you were to watch ads in the UK you would think most people in the UK are Black. Nearly every ad you watch contains a black person. Of course, everyone wants to be represented in modern Britain and that's fair enough.

Wishy-Washy Will Welcome MBS.
Rishi Sunak will welcome King Mohammed Bin Sultan. The two apparently spoke on the telephone and discussed various issues. Including trade and investment and the UK's long-standing friendship with KSA. Of course, controversially, the UK has been training Saudi forces and shipping weapons across to the country. To help Saudi fight Houthi rebels in the land of Yemen. The Houthis are backed by Iran. The US is also backing Saudi in its war with the Houthis. However, thanks to the Chinese, a rapprochement has taken place between the two sides. So for now at least KSA and IRI are BFFs.

Wash Out Summer, Wishy-Washy-Washout-Rishi.
What a summer we have had or should I say lack of? On the hot days, we did get it was too intense (for me at least). I usually love the sun and summer, but this year it was like being in hell. The sun was too intense and too extreme for me. I understand that is not the case for all. Some love the sun no matter what the temp. However, as I reiterate, the sun was too strong and left me ill, dehydrated, and near sunstroke conditions. Look at the sun around the world though causing wildfires. Look at that island part of the Hawaiian chain, a city burnt to the ground. With the loss of life and destruction of everything people hold dear. Those that escaped with their lives are the lucky ones. Yes, they may have lost material goods but they can hopefully be replaced, human life, cannot.

XL Bully Dogs: Government Will Not Ban Them.
The government has refused to ban XL Bully dogs. There has been a spate of attacks in recent years. According to the 'Daily Mirror' the public overwhelmingly backed a ban. Chris Philips, Home Office Minister, said He backed a ban on this and other dangerous dogs. The XL Bully is related to the American Pit Bull which is banned in the UK. This breed, though, is not under restrictions and you can legally keep one. Banned but not subject to restrictions doesn't make sense. But there you are, the law is what it is.
