The Barge Bibby Stockholm Now Housing Illegal Migrants.

The barge Bibby Stockholm now houses and accommodates illegal migrants. The migrants are mostly men, approximately, 500 of them, are there to await their cases being sorted. Some will be given leave to stay, others, will be deported.

Locals and outsiders have welcomed the migrants while others have opposed it. Groups supporting one side or the other have gathered to show their support or lack of for the barge and its migrants. Of course, one has to have compassion for genuine people fleeing persecution, war, and other disasters. But at the same time, our services which do a bloody good job of helping us (like the NHS) are creaking now. In some cases on their knees, in trying to help and provide for Native Brits, let alone, more people coming into the country. The population of the UK has shot up because of recent legal and illegal migration.

Criminals in France exploit these migrants getting them to part with money. In return, they are provided with flimsy boats, to cross the Channel. Some of these migrants are fleeing disasters of one kind or another. Others are criminals themselves, terrorists, etc. Some could be trafficked to work undercover illegally in hospitality, the sex trade, the drugs trade, etc. The government needs to be tackling these full-on and all fronts.

When lawyers for 20 illegal migrants were given leave to stay in their hotels instead of going aboard the Bibby Stockholm, Lee Anderson, MP, made His thoughts known. The Deputy Chairman of the Tory Party said these migrants should "Fuck off back to France". With a follow-up statement, Mr. Anderson said "The government has lost control of illegal immigration".

Asked by right-wing stalwart Nigel Farage if he would apologise for his outburst or change his mind Mr. Anderson on GB News replied "No". Mr. Anderson said his outburst came from a feeling or place of frustration. That the government had lost control of immigration illegal or otherwise.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman said she is going to tackle the dodgy lawyers who represent migrants. No doubt, there are good lawyers, out there who represent their clients for the best. But amongst them are crooked lawyers who don't care either way for their clients. Either way, at the end of the day, win or lose a case, lawyers are laughing, all the way to the bank.

Is Lee Anderson correct in what he said? Some would say yes, others, would vehemently disagree. While Britain should be a welcoming place for all, Native or born overseas, the UK is a finite piece of land. More people, more houses being built, more strains on education, and more strain on the NHS, more strain on others services, means less for others. Sunak talks about "Stopping the boats" but it isn't that simple. While Wishy-Washy swans around in California the migration/immigration system is in a mess.

Migration and immigration have over time changed areas forever. Particularly, in inner cities, where once Native Brits lived have become ghettos in a sense. Some welcome the diversity of our country today while others hate it. The UK now has a Hindu Prime Minister, a Muslim Mayor of London, and the First Minister of Scotland is Muslim. There a was time years ago this would have been unthinkable. How society has changed, some say for the better, some say not.

Britain remains a majority-white country, however, many foreign whites have come either illegally or legally to the UK. Whether it be the Albanians that have come here illegally or the legal migration of Poles. The UK has always been a migrant nation. And probably always will be.
