Pleated Skirts 💅🏼
When it comes to workplace fashion from the 1980's, I am drawn to the sheer power that these clothes exude. Women would wear broad shouldered blazers lined with gold buttons, bright reds or fancy black colors, and have intricate buttoning. On the work attire family tree is the famous: pleated skirt. Whether you are getting lunch with coworkers or leading an important meeting, a pleated skirt would make your look pop!

Apostrophe
"If the frailties of old age have been eliminated, what is left?" I am 100 years old today. I thought about how the deep hues of blue and white crashed together in the ocean. These currents were centuries old but never lost their strength. Thousands of the water's bubbles swirled around me, as my hair danced lightly under the surface. Looking up, rays of light glistened through it's layers. Around this time, the water was warm.

Unlikely Art Supplies
Thrift stores are a gold mine for artists~ Normally, you wouldn't think to visit thrift stores to begin your next project as an artist. They have a random assortment of "junk", all varying in quality and appeal. Visiting a thrift store could be a last resort if you need a specific item, but they generally don't stand out as an ideal spot for gathering materials.

Neuroscience & Lo-fi Beats
Music is healing, and your brain thinks so too! All genres have their own soothing qualities that help all folks around the world find those incredible moments of intense emotion, reflection, and sometimes introspection. Music has the ability to lull my overwhelmed brain into a better headspace, and its something I am utterly grateful for!

Bring Me Merlot
I can't believe I died over a glass of Merlot, while being at the mercy of a nutcase from a stupid dating app. It's a long story, but I am practically writing this while looking down at my pathetic body contorted off the side of the Vincent Hotel. Too much? A little gory? My bad. I guess I should explain how this unfortunate incident happened and trace it back to the beginning of the night.

Miss Migi 🐢
Hello! I would like to introduce the Vocal audience to Miss Migi, my redfoot tortoise. Her story begins in early 2019, when I adopted her from a friend that originally purchased her at a reptile convention. She was the last redfoot left in the clear glass container of a vendor's stand. Unable to avoid her pleading eyes and lovely shell, my friend had decided to make an offer. However, when they came home, they soon realized that this impulse buy wasn't going to be sustainable. In order to give this redfoot a good life, she needed a caring owner with lots of extra time on their hands.
