Eerie
After watching The Conjuring series and exiting the theater, I couldn't bare to look directly at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. If I looked too hard, I would begin to imagine the entities I saw on the screen that night. A dreadful mirage of a relentless demonic entity could appear right before me if I let those thoughts get out of hand. Embarrassing as it sounds, I refused to stay in there any longer than needed!

The World's Okayest Reptile Photographer
Ever since I created my reptile Instagram page, @socratesandmigi_, I realized that my photos were a little...mediocre. They certainly lacked in comparison to all the cute pet pictures that I constantly saw online. Whenever I scrolled down, most of these pet accounts had perfect lighting, cute clothes, creative backgrounds, and vivid colors all while possessing immaculate quality.

Tortoise Tales
Tortoises have become an unexpected part of my househould. Browsing a reptile convention in college, I didnt know that a tortoise breeder would convince me to take one home that same day. Soon enough, that friend turned into three. Now I own a redfoot, a sulcata, and a russian tortoise. Together, they are deemed: "The High Council of the Tortoise." I usually picture them in long black robes with the wisdom of many ages, talking about the future of humanity in a dimly lit temple. Scary. Yet, in reality, they sit in the corner with a grouchy stare waiting to be fed.

Twins
Being born in late May, I am a Gemini. Upon reciting this line to a stranger, I get a long groan in response or an eye roll that drifts into the back of their skull. Basically, the astrology community has come to a verdict that I am either very good at talking or very good at lying. Gossip and slander is the main staple of Gemini interests. Like the air, I am drifting around in life with my playful and expressive mannerisms ready to strike at any moment. It is a local consensus that I am the snake of all signs.

Lilac
Dust covered yellowing window panes, much to the disappointment of the owner. It was already 8 am, and the entire room was pressed by careful hands to its usual sleek presentation. Everything was almost in order. The white comforter had a single wrinkle near where the pillows sunk into the bed. Not a single piece of clothing or disarray could be pointed out.
