The Ultimate PTV Rewind
Like every other Mexican scene kid in 2013, the members of Pierce the Veil were my idols. Pierce the Veil was IT for those outcast scene teens of music. It was dark and energetic, filled with rock that incorporated the perfect mix of rebellious lyricism. PTV's image catered to anti-societal norms, and was loaded with typical angst aesthetic of their time. Their sound can be placed into "emo rock" or alternative genres of music, but it's honestly pretty unique to me. There isn't really a specific genre that comes to mind, because PTV is its own form of rock and screamo. But for all the Warped Tour teens of the early 2010's, this band was essential to anyone's playlist.

90's Gothic Charm
Black nails, grim makeup, and lace clothes are back from the grave! I recently watched a rerun of the "Ricki Lake" show on Youtube. The unwilling guest of this talk show was described as a "strange" teenage boy, who walked out for the audience in a mysterious cloud of clothing. Since this show was set in the 90's, a reinvention of goth fashion was just beginning to come out of the shadows.

Oceans of Plastic
Seas of Danger ⚠️ 🌊 There is a huge problem in our oceans. First and foremost, being "The Great Pacific Garbage Patch". This massive patch is the size of Texas and can be found in the northern region of the Pacific ocean. In this swirling pool of waste there are huge swaths of plastics, trash, fishing nets, bags, and other harmful materials left to float.
