Recipe for Rajas con Crema
Are you interested in preparing a delicious dish? Then when you go to the grocery store make sure to buy the ingredients to cook rajas con crema! Rajas con crema translates to roasted poblanos in cream. This is a Hispanic dish and when it comes to Hispanic dishes most of the time they will not taste awful. When I first saw this dish, my initial reaction was that it looked odd, to me it seemed like something that would not be pleasant for my stomach to have, but when my stepmom told me it did not contain any cheese, I was not hesitant to try it. I immediately fell in love with the dish and a few weeks later asked her how she prepared it so I could do it on my own. I am a huge fan of recipes that do not have a bunch of ingredients but are able to have a lot of flavor. I feel that this recipe, although simple, has excellent flavor.

Diary of an Oxygen Thief: Inside the Mind of a Narcissist
Facebook introduced me to Diary of an Oxygen Thief While scrolling through Facebook, there was this photo of a page from a book, it said: “I liked hurting girls. Mentally, not physically, I never hit a girl in my life. Well, once. But that was a mistake. I’ll tell you about it later. The thing is, I got off on it. I really enjoyed it. It’s like when you hear serial killers say they feel no regret, no remorse for all the people they killed. I was like that. Loved it. I didn’t care how long it took either, because I was in no hurry. I’d wait until they were totally in love with me. Till the big saucer eyes were looking at me. I loved the shock on their faces. Then the glaze as they tried to hide how much I was hurting them. And it was legal. I think I killed a few of them. Their souls, I mean. It was their souls I was after.” Immediately after reading that, I said to myself that I needed to purchase this book. I was amazed by the brutal honesty of the narrator. Not only that, but I wanted to read a book in which for the first time the protagonist is not always a good person, I wanted to read about someone who would tell their story but not be a good person. Typically, the protagonist is a good person, but in this book, the narrator is a narcissist by breaking the hearts of women because he does not want to experience being heart broken.

Sweetheart, Break Up With Your Mediocre Boyfriend
The other day, I was watching an old clip of the Steve Wilkos Show. The clip was about a controlling boyfriend. It was extremely creepy that the girl was explaining the situation in the relationship and her boyfriend was in the background, blaming her for the way he is. It is honestly so disappointing to be with someone that does not put effort into the relationship and acts like they are perfect. I was so happy when the girl made the decision to leave him, after everything he put her through, she had every right to put herself first. If you are currently dating a guy who cannot even do the bare minimum please dump him. Your mental health is more important.

The Bunny is my Spirit Animal
Bunnies are the Best! Whenever I get asked about what animal I consider to be my spirit animal, I always say the bunny. Bunnies are my favourite animal. They are so sweet and cuddly. Looking at them just melts my heart. My boyfriend has a pet bunny, but his family does not interact with it. I wish his bunny would not be so afraid to interact with others, but that is going to take some time because all everyone does is give her food and then leave her alone. My actual zodiac animal sign is the tiger, but I am nothing like the tiger. Here are some ways I relate to these beautiful adorable creatures:

Toxic Mindsets in a Hispanic Family: Acknowledgment and Effort Can End Them
Sometimes, living in a Hispanic home can be too much to handle. In Hispanic culture, there may be toxic mindsets within family members. Some examples of these toxic mindsets would be parents telling their kids they have no right to privacy just because they are the parents and can take over, the husband expecting the wife to serve him in every way, girls being treated differently from boys, family members always having something negative to say, and being shamed for not having the same opinions on prominent issues such as abortion or education. In I am not your Perfect Mexican Daughter, by Erika L. Sánchez, readers get an insight into what Julia goes through since her mom never approves of her, this affect Julia deeply. She wants to be herself but being herself means being a disappointment to her mother. Toxic mindsets in Hispanic families need to end because it leads to a family falling apart. In order for toxicity in Hispanic households to end, there needs to be acknowledgement and effort.
