The Last Destination
Disclosure: This short may contain sensitive issues. Reader discretion is advised. I woke up to the sound of my snores, and when my eyes fluttered open, I was greeted by a grinning eight-year-old child ready to poke my cheek with a used chopstick. He was wearing a tattered Grim Reaper Halloween costume, his hair was haphazardly combed back which made his cowlick stick up, and dried mud was smeared on his cheek.

Hello Readers! First and foremost, I would like to thank you for checking out my series Soul Exchange House of Trials. This series follows Eliza's "adventure" as the Celestial Council's Director. You may also find that this series would refer back to Soul Exchange Case Files. Don't worry! I would also put a hyperlink that would lead you to the related Case File Issue Number. P.S. this is the second issue of this series. If you have not read the first issue yet, click here. Warning: this chapter contains very mature themes. Reader discretion is HIGHLY advised.

Monologue of a Madman
Before you scroll through and read the Monologue of a Madman, I want to note several things. Even though the short stories can be read independently, they are still somewhat tied to the main series: Soul Exchange - House of Trials. You can check out the synopsis and its installations by clicking here. Secondly, I want to affirm that my stories are fictional and should be treated as so. My short stories can also be triggering to some. So, please discontinue reading if it makes you feel uncomfortable and scared. My goal is to share the stories that dance in my head (or nightmares) and turn it into reading entertainment. If this does not bring/add joy to your life, please don't force yourself to read it. Other than that, I genuinely thank you for checking me out, and I hope you enjoy my work. Truly yours, Cyrl

“The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window.” Erick rolled his eyes and groaned. Jules shone the flashlight from under his chin as he told the story while they sat around the bonfire. Jules had been telling him the same story since they were children and although there would be slight changes in the details, it always ended the same: everyone died except for the protagonist who later learned that he was dead and had been reliving the same fate every night.
