Politicians spoke of love

Companies pushed for acceptance

They all bled rainbows

They painted their products with colors

Flew banners that portrayed their support

Sold merchandise that spoke of romance

They all bled rainbows

Until the celebration and the Pride of June was no more

They all bled rainbows

Until the showmanship dried up and the monetization is no longer

They all bled rainbows

Until it became an inconvenience and real issues must be met

They all bled rainbows

Until one asked to stop the violence and sought respect

They all bled rainbows

Until it became a hindrance to a select society

They all bled rainbows

As long as it benefitted the powerful and the economy

They all would bleed rainbows

As long as one is willing to pay
