Dogwoods of Remembrance
At 65 years of age, I have read about many crimes through the years; however, to this day, there is one crime that lingers vividly in my memory, haunting me since I was the impressionable age of fourteen, as much as the Richard Valenti case.

Blame is such a serious accusation. In a court of law, it requires evidence when seeking an indictment or conviction. It can be cruel, relentless, and can even precipitate wars. Blame is often misplaced and sometimes displaced in a thinly veiled, manipulative way. I think that for us, it was a great deal of all these things - and more - blended into one colossal, combustible bomb.

Mr. Sunshine
This first encounter with a Korean drama created a lifetime fan. A dynamic period piece set during the late Joseon Dynasty with an amazing screenplay, costumes, cinematography, and casting. This film weaves the tale of a beautiful, complicated love affecting the lives of several well-defined characters. A masterful, absorbing film.

Outlander
An epic tale of time travel. While it’s true a certain red-haired, kilt wearing man with a thick Scottish brogue piqued my interest, the drama is a fine one that covers various spans in time, and its cinematography is awe-inspiring. Well worth any Sassenach's leap through the stones to watch.
