Martin Luther King Jr. and the love he lost
In 1973 R&B group Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes had a hit single titled The Love I Lost. This song went to number 7 on Billboard's top 100 chart and number 1 on the soul chart. I thought of this tune today after reading a story about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and a love he lost from his college days. The tale is quite tragic because there was only one reason 19 year old Dr. King and Betty Moitz could not marry and that is because he was black and she was white. It might sound strange today where people of different backgrounds marry without a second thought but in days gone by interracial dating and marriage was frowned upon.

Moses Winters may take Genoa City by storm on 'The Young and the Restless'
The Young and the Restless often makes casting choices that baffle the viewers. Beloved characters will be killed off or written out and new people show up in Genoa City who never seem to fit. The CBS daytime drama is now about to bring back a character who basically has all but been forgotten. Last week on The Young and the Restless, Devon asked Nate to mentor his brother Moses, which indicates the young man will soon return to town. For viewers who are not aware of him and those who may have forgotten, this is the son Neil had with Sophia who worked for Devon's biological dad Tucker McCall.

'The Young and the Restless' crossover might not yield the desired results from 'The Bold and the Beautiful.
Spoiler alerts for The Young and the Restless have suggested that either Bill Spencer or Flo Fulton from The Bold and the Beautiful might snitch on Sally Spectra. Now, Summer Newman and Kyle Abbott are in LA and about to have a meeting with Dollar Bill. On Friday Summer tried to get Wyatt to open up about his former fiance but he remained mum. A commercial last week showed Katrina Bowden teasing that her character might tell all. Bill Spencer basically can only give his opinion as he did some pretty dirty things to Ms. Spectra. His mistreatment of her is actually a big factor in her downfall.

Sonny Corinthos storyline not popular with fans of 'General Hospital'
Some General Hospital fans are angry about the amnesia storyline with Sonny Corinthos as this scenario has played out many times before on daytime drama shows. In the 1970s on NBC's Days of Our Lives, prominent lawyer Mickey Horton lost his memory after catching his brother Bill in bed with his wife Laura. He wandered away and ended up in a small town. He began working on a farm for the crippled Maggie, whom he later married. There have been other soap characters over the years who had amnesia and befriended or fell in love with those who found them. Sonny was rescued by a man who was driving past him and now he is receiving help from a woman whose husband owns a diner.

Geico brings fun back with Tag Team in a new commercial
We all need something to laugh about right now and Geico's recent insurance commercial featuring the hip hop duo Tag Team is pretty hillarious. The Geico announcer asks a woman named Tasha if she is waiting on Tag Team to invite her to take advantage of Geico's special rates. The duo shows up in her kitchen with ice cream scoops in their hands. They begin singing"Scoop there it is", and dancing to the tune of their 1993 hit single "Whoomp! (There It Is)". For a moment, Tasha is stunned, then she begins dancing along as well. Her daughter enters the kitchen with a young man who joins in on the fun and begins dancing too. The daughter walks out of the room with a look of embarassment on her face.

Forrest Gump: Questions that never were answered regarding Jenny
The movie Forrest Gump was released to theaters in July of 1994. It has continued over the decades to air on cable networks on a regular basis. There are some things in the movie things that are implied but never confirmed about the woman Forrest eventually married. Jenny Curran was portrayed by Robin Wright who in 1994 won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a film. Robin's portrayal of Jenny and the way she encompassed each decade as she oved through the 1960s, 1970s, and the 1980s was amazing

Mike Pence extends an olive branch to Kamala Harris
When someone desires to broker peace in a situation, they are said to be extending an olive branch to the person they are at odds with. Now, with only 5 days left until the Presidential Inauguration, Vice President Mike Pence has made a last-minute choice to take the high road and extend an olive branch of sorts to his successor. On Friday, he called VP elect Kamala Harris to congratulate her and offer his assistance during the transition. Pence has also stated that he will be on hand when Joe Biden takes the oath of office on January 20.

Anti-Semitic Trump supporter wants Jews to die
The aftermath of January 6th continues to expose the true nature of Trump supporters every single day. During the attack on the Capitol, they urinated and defecated all over the place like wild beasts. They erected a noose, chanted hang Mike Pence and some admitted to wanting to assassinate various members of Congress. American flags were removed and Trump flags erected in their stead. Confederate flags were carried through the White House and an innocent black woman in LA was attacked by a group of Trump supporters. President number 45 has brought this on by winking and nodding at extremist groups and now a photo has emerged of a man wearing a disgusting anti-Semetic Tee shirt.
