The snow outside had footprints, but I couldn't hear a soul in the silence of the night. The full moon rose above the hills, and the sharp sensation of cold ran down my spine. My cheeks were hot; pale skin nipped by the evening breeze. The breath that poured out of my mouth trickled upward, settling into the thick air, endlessly in front of me.

Freewriting Exercise
I have not been motivated to write for days, nor have I found much inspiration. So, I'm doing an exercise that I was taught in high school to get the gears flowing. This will be ten, unadulterated minutes of freewriting. Whatever comes out of my mind will be on the page. From Person Who Writes, to WriterTop Story - September 2023
Ever since I was a child my Nana always encouraged me to keep a journal. Every year for Christmas, she would gift me a new notebook and pen. The first year this tradition started, I got a little spiral book with a duck swimming through the water on the cover. I was in the 7th grade, and I remember writing about the intricacies and emotions of middle school. They were silly little musings with no real purpose, and there were months between the entries. Not much has changed about my writing style. I'm on top of it hard, and I fall off hard. There's no in between.

Who Am I?
When I saw this prompt, I was immediately intrigued. I tend to write like an open book, but I'm sure there are some things I have not touched upon that are integral to who I am as a person.
