Alisha Wilkins
Bio
I've been writing my whole life. Writing about realms to escape in, forbidden characters to fall in love with, and using writing as my muse and refuge. Sometimes writing opens up the soul to healing, learning, and eventually to living again

The Secrets of Kyda
To my knowledge, she was the secret within the woods. The misfit, the outcast, the daughter of the witch long since banished from our settlement. I didn’t care. I didn’t believe in fairy tales or legends. I wasn’t haunted by the shadowy darkness. I was haunted by my impulse and visions of her wild beauty.

Toothless Vampire
Wow. Being a vampire requires two things…and I say this with an enormous grin and added laughter…blood and teeth. Well blood is easy. There is an abundance of blood everywhere that I turn. I have only to escape the safe haven of our dark and dusty tomb to see that. But teeth…laugh sarcastically…teeth are hard to come by…laughing myself silly. Excuse me for my laughter. I am the happy go lucky and funny vampire sidekick. Humor is in my nature and all natural to me. So when my sister, whose is also a vampire, complained because she thought she had broken a tooth on a donor’s bone, I couldn’t help but laugh myself silly. Yes, you can understand my laughter now, right? Come on...it's funny!

Spark of Love
I moved my feet gently across the old wooden and worn floor. Your hands were settled gently on my hips, your arms my shield and walls of protection around me. I took a deep breath, settling the unsteady waves leaving me. Your body swayed gently with mine. It was a warm comfortable room, fireplace blazing, and no one to look down on us. The music was medium, not too fast to make us waltz quickly around, but not too slow to make us lose track of where we are or what we are doing. My heart was pounding in my chest and throat. Being this close to you awoke nerves within me that I didn’t know could still hold a spark.

Promise Ring
A Promise Ring I was a bright white gold ring, a promise. With the word ‘promise’ proudly proclaimed, I was an example of God’s love in your life, before he was able to bring about a man who could love you and be your husband. I fit nicely on your ring finger. I was a reminder that you are a pure soul, that you would save yourself for your husband. I was a promise that the future would be positive and fulfilling.
