Luxury Fashion Labels: The Good, the Bad and the Discriminatory
It probably won't be shocking, or even remotely surprising, when I tell you that there are different attitudes regarding black-owned, and white-owned luxury fashion labels. Whilst white-owed brands are likely to get away with whatever they want in terms of marketing, prices and design, it's been made clear that there is a different standard and set of expectations reserved for black-owned brands and businesses.

Here's How You Can Spoil Yourself This Valentine's Day
You may think it's rather peculiar when I tell you that I absolutely LOVE Valentine's Day, but I'm not so keen on the idea of being in a relationship. Whilst I wouldn't consider myself to be a "relationship person," I love love; and I love food and all things pink, red, fragrant, and beautiful—and let's be real, that just about sums up February 14th.

Here's Why Dieting Isn't Bad Practice
It was recently brought to my attention, that I see dieting in a completely different way to just about anyone else in my life. I’d been told that diet is a bad word and a bad practice. Of course around this time of year, you tend to see more people signing up for gym memberships and discussing their weight. Just like about everyone else, I’d decided to go back to the diet I was on during the summer—an idea that the people around me completely misunderstood.

Your Slavery Footprint—How the Choices You Make Every Day Harms People and the PlanetTop Story - February 2019
As the new generation of young people, Millenials, Gen Z’s and the ones to follow, we are known for our fast fashion and trends that come and go quicker than night turns into day. Whilst some of us dwell on the fact that we may not have the money and/or resources that’s required to stay on top of these fast moving trends, we remain ignorant to the real-life, disastrous consequences of the industry that we continue to fuel and support.

How the Moon Phases Can Increase Your Productivity and Planning
The term Lunar cycle refers to the twenty-nine days that it takes for the Moon to orbit the Earth. Every Lunar cycle is broken down into eight different moon phases, which each hold meaning and significance regarding our behaviour. The eight Moon phases refer to the changing nature of the Moon, which is created from the alignment of the Moon in relation to the Earth and the Sun; The Moon itself doesn’t change, but our perception of it does due to the parts reflected by sunlight.

Five Things Are Sure to Improve All of Your Relationships
If you've never heard of the term love languages, I assure you, it's not pointless or as difficult to understand as one might think (it's what I initially thought, don't worry). In fact, it's rather straightforward; you probably already know what your love language is without being aware, however, developing an understanding of them will definitely create current or future healthy and happy relationships. The term love languages came to popularity after being published in the book The Five Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman, in which he discussed how we need to use these love languages to really understand what it is our partners want from us.

In case you weren't following the case of Cyntoia Brown, her story exposes the alarming reality that women, particularly black women, face at the hands of the judicial system. The Galley—Upper Street, London
I was introduced to The Galley, a contemporary restaurant and bar in Upper Street, Islington by a friend, and it's safe to say that the food and environment were spectacular. Not only was the food amazing, but so was the service and atmosphere of the restaurant.

The Secret Behind Instagram Hotspots (It’s Not as Glamorous as It Looks)
Social media influencers are the latest tools of business marketing. People with a high count of followers are able to drive an influx of customers towards locations, with one simple picture of them posed outside of the building. It wasn’t until I got back onto the Instagram scene this summer, when a particular London hotspot caught my attention. I’d passed the Peggy Porschen cafe numerous times in my nineteen years of living in London, yet somehow had failed to ever actually sit down and order from the menu—it simply hadn't interested me in such a way. Of course I could appreciate the sweet aesthetic of the cafe, and admire the seasonally changing floral displays that probably takes a lot of creative thought to execute- but when it came to the actual dessert menu, I simply didn’t care. (I later found out that not many people do…)

Here's Why You're Not Actually Bringing Mental Health Awareness
The discussion of mental health, and raising mental health awareness, is on a rapid uprise as more and more people are becoming comfortable with speaking about their troubles. Whilst some may argue that mental health awareness is creating a significant impact on society, and is destroying the marginalisation and stigmatisation of those who do struggle with mental health issues- I'd have to disagree. Of course, I believe that raising awareness towards mental health is a good thing that has achieved somewhat successful in its purpose. However, I also believe that we, as a society, have become lazy with our awareness and aren't being inclusive, which has created more negative impacts than positive.

Here's What Misogyny Forums Taught Me About Patriarchy
It was a Friday afternoon when I was browsing the web, and accidentally stumbled upon a dark corner of the internet that I'd only heard stories about. Whilst it was clear from the start that women weren't welcome amongst this online community that I'd discovered, I couldn't help but dive deeper into the frighteningly, intriguing, chauvinistic forums of the 'Manosphere.'
