I Drove a Family EV for 3,800 km. Here’s What Mattered More Than the Spec Sheet.
What a family EV solves, day after day “Let’s wait a bit longer.” That was what the owner “Enjiesuo” said most often before replacing his car. He used to drive a 2.0L gas car. Fuel cost nearly 2,000 yuan a month. He drove for work, visited clients. The car was a tool, not something to enjoy. After switching to the Shangjie H5, he wrote in an owner review: he installed a home charger. After 10 p.m., electricity costs a bit over 0.3 yuan per kWh. That works out to less than 0.1 yuan per kilometer. The H5 is rated at 655 km CLTC. He usually charges to 90%. City roads plus expressways, mixed. A steady 540 km.

This $32,000 SUV Just Broke the Luxury Rulebook
Large new-energy SUVs have been called a "red ocean" for years. The Li L8 sells family lifestyle. The AITO M7 sells Huawei's smart driving. The NIO ES6 sells battery swapping and service. The Xpeng G9 sells ultra‑fast charging. Each carries one distinct label, and buyers pick a label – space or intelligence, chassis composure or purchase price, a third row that works or a trunk that fits luggage.

How a Phone Company Just Crushed Toyota and BMW
In July 2026, Xiaomi SU7 delivered 21,044 vehicles. A table shows what that number means. The SU7 sold nearly twice as many as the second‑place Camry. Among the top ten, only two are pure electric vehicles: the Model 3, in fifth, and the SU7 at the top. The former is retreating; the latter is advancing.

Are Remote Car Starters Still Worth It in 2026?

Many automakers now bundle remote start with smartphone apps and subscription services, while aftermarket manufacturers continue to offer one-time purchase alternatives.
