Stolen Kisses
A kiss used to mean something to me. This time last year, I had only ever kissed three people. I say I kissed them because I was a happy, active participant. I can't count the men who have kissed me that way anymore, and while that slight change in language could probably be easily overlooked, that realization hurts me more than I can explain.

2020 Spring Favorites
Spring is here! The sun is shining, it's finally getting warm, and the flowers are blooming! I know the start of this post sounds like I really enjoy spring, but the truth is, I hate it. Every time someone asks, "what's your favorite season?" almost everyone says spring. Personally, I can't seem to understand why. Yes, the flowers are beautiful, but what the flowers bring with them, I hate. The pollen is outrageous and like a lot of people, I'm allergic. I can't breathe and my eye itch so bad they end up swelling so bad I can't see anymore. Not to mention all the bugs that start coming out during this time!

When I Write Female Characters, I Look to Elizabeth Swann
We've all heard of various tropes and cliches often found within fiction, such as the 'impossibly perfect' Mary Sue and the Manic Pixie Dream Girl. We see the same stereotypes again and again both on the page, and on our screens; the tough girl with the heart of gold, the ice queen, the brainiac whose sole purpose to the storyline is to supply vital, plot-driving knowledge (that last one can be found in both genders). Enough.

Luckily there are a wide range of products out there for your daughter to try, and many of these products can be total lifesavers when it comes to managing her menstrual cycle at school. The more open-minded you and your daughter are about the range of feminine hygiene products on the market today, the easier it will be to prepare your daughter for school without either of you needing to worry too much about managing her cycle. Richy
I always knew I was different. What three year old suffers from depression? Yup, this one did. I worried constantly about whether my mother loved me. I even recall thinking that I should not of been born. I was working out my place in this world, even as a toddler. I thought about strange things, had strange dreams. I had a repetitive dream that my mother was hosting a Tupperware party, turned into a violin and started killing all the attendees. Like WTF. I was a troubled soul even at the beginning of my life.

From 'killing it', to wanting to quit - every single month.
Are there some days when you are killing it at life, smashing your goals, living the dream, everything goes smoothly.... and then a couple of weeks later, for no apparent reason it gets really dark. Doing the simplest of tasks feels like you are pushing boulders up a steep hill, people irritate you to the point of breaking, you act 'out of character' - saying and doing things that have you feeling embarrassed and ashamed. You want to run away from life, hide in your bedroom, quit your job, leave your partner, and then.... you start to bleed.

Not All Scars Can Be Seen
Hello. My birth name is Audrey Ella Kerns. However, about 2 months ago, I changed my last name to Garland. No, I didn't legally change it, no, I'm not married now, and no, I didn't ask for anyone's permission to do it. I made the choice all by myself.
