The magic really has disappeared in The Santa Clauses
"The Santa Clause" movies were a Christmas staple growing up, so when a new addition to the movie trilogy was announced as a six-episode series on Disney+, I was curious. After breakfast on Christmas morning, my partner and I decided to start on the first movie and watch all the way through to "The Santa Clauses."

Throwing a Halloween party? The best part about selecting the music is that you have options. You can go with Halloween classics, like the Monster Mash (a must, really), but you aren't as limited as you might be with Christmas party music, for example.

Giving what I didn't get
There are three obvious reasons to start working in higher education: 1) you had an amazing time in college, and you want to give that experience back to the next set of students; 2) you had a horrible time in college, and you want to make things better for the students after you; or 3) you don't want to grow up, and working at a school feels like putting the real world on pause.

Sometimes, quitters do win
Three months ago, I was miserable with my job. My coworkers were not fully trained or corrected on mistakes. Each shift, I was fixing errors and catching up on tasks that always went undone between my times there. Multiple guests each week were commenting about me being visibly overworked, and management wanted to shift some of their responsibilities onto me without any other adjustments (including my hourly pay).

TikTok paid my vet bills
In the middle of this past November, I moved into a new apartment. It was just me and my cat. No roommates. No cosigner. I had counted down the days to moving in and newfound freedom. It was supposed to be Happy and I against the world, but things don't always go as planned. Happy, my cat, died the night we moved in.
