Our Rescue
In the above picture is mine and my partner's dog, Hope. Doesn't she look happy? Would you think by looking at her that she was abused her whole life until the rescue saved her? I wouldn't either.

It is real easy to take someone for granted while they are still around. Even though we may take our loved ones for granted, most of the time it isn't intentional. There are plenty of everyday things that seem minor on a regular day, but looking back they could mean the world to someone reflecting back. It's not that you didn't care, it was just the norm. The sad reality is sometimes it takes someone being gone for you to notice and appreciate some of the things they have done for you.

When I was 16-years-old, I realized I wasn't your normal female teen. I never drank. I never partied. The most I did was pretend to smoke weed once and it was super obvious.
When I Said #Me Too
It was two days ago that I scrolled through my Facebook feed. I spotted a few sporadic posts with the simple phrase, "me too." Thinking it was just another weird social media game, I ignored it. It wasn't until I saw a few more that I decided to research it further. The first thing that popped up was a tweet by Alyssa Milano.
Men, Let's Talk
In this last couple of days and weeks it’s been hard to avoid the fact of the disgraceful acts shown by Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein. The outrage shown by society and the injustices towards women has enraged and sparked a lot of women to follow the lead of Hollywood actor Alyssa Milano in hash tagging #Metoo to show that women aren’t alone in the fight against sexual harassment in public spaces or anywhere. The amount of comments and responses to the initial post has reached all corners of the globe and raised a lot of concerns and for me, a lot of sadness that the number of women have been left threatened and made to feel humiliated by men in a sexual way.

Everyone always talks about “a mother's instincts” and how “mother knows best,” but what about Dad? Being a dad to a newborn baby is confusing, stressful, and can leave some lost. But here are a couple things you can do to bond with your baby, and help momma out, too.
Accepting My Femininity
Three years ago, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing the color pink. Three years ago, I was scared to be labeled as a "girly girl."

So let me start out with I LOVE ANIMALS, and actually have a ton... even exotics that when I tell people they're like, "Shut up you do not own one of those." Then I have to pull the old phone out to prove it but anyways. Animals, they do no wrong... except Bailey. Don't get me wrong, I love Bay. He is one of my male cats, the oldest one. He is so loving, really a great cuddler and always has to be by me which is great until he's under my feet or when he's meowing non-stop because I won't make eye contact with him or you know do something crazy like sleep in. I have three other cats (and just lost one) and Bailey is the only one that when I adopted him he was declawed. I don't personally declaw my cats... I hate it... but anywho Bailey gets picked on by all my cats because he is so nosey and the others don't like him all up in their faces 24/7 but that doesn't stop Bailey!
