Why School Isn't So Useful
School has been known to educate people and help them get to a good college and then advance in their future. You know your parents will most likely tell you to get good grades that will help you in the future to get a job. BUT...that isn't the right way to proceed in life. School doesn't prepare you for real life, but actually makes you "academically smart." These are things that you mostly don't need to know about. The world is changing rapidly, but school hasn't changed a bit. It's our time to shine and understand that just because you did good in school doesn't really mean anything.

The Agitated Author
This is how it begins. My morning routine, uninterrupted, goes off without a hitch. Unemployment would suit me if not for the lack of funding. The dishes are washing, the laundry is going, and I have settled into my computer chair for a morning and afternoon of recording games.

When My Teacher Became the Bully...
Have you been a victim of a educator who shamed or humiliated you simply just because your different from the rest of the class? Unfortunately, we've all fallen victim to this form of bullying. Let me just say that my second grade teacher was a woman and I feared her. It all started when I was eight years old and years before I was diagnosed with a learning disability. I already had poor reading and comprehension skills as well as my stuttering which my teacher was well aware of, and I couldn't understand why this teacher was so impatient and too cruel when she would handle her students who had disabilities.

Becoming an Adult
When you were in high school, you probably weren’t sitting around calculating how much debt you’d rack up by choosing to continue your education. If you were like me, you were worried about things like Friday night football and prom. When I was in high school, I didn’t know the difference between a subsidized and unsubsidized loan. I didn’t know how much I would have to be paying out of pocket to attend college. Now I’m stuck wishing I would have been more aware of my finances… and I’m guessing I’m not the only one.

Home School Freshman
I started homeschooling my daughter after a series of unfortunate events at her school. It was not the usual suspect of bullying but simply the lack of everything outside Math and English (sorry Language Arts). As a person from the XY generation who is borderline millennial, seeing how careers changed in the space of 20 years, I panicked! How will this content of education prepare my child for what’s next?!

Why The Arts Are Important
Art is a form of expression. Bottom line, that's what art is. And without expression, one cannot formulate any sense of emotions. Art allows me, among many, many others, the opportunity to broadcast who I am as well as what I believe in. Theater has made a significant impact on society and the way we see things.
