Devoured. Top Story - May 2024.
My fingers dance across the yellowed pages of the library’s archaic volumes. Despite the candle illuminating the shelves, I’m not searching for a book. Instead, I’m relentlessly investigating the halls for a door to run from the horrible reality that consumed all our lives.

We Are Not Lazy Because We Are On Benefits. Top Story - May 2024.
My life has not been easy. I struggled at school with bullying and school work with very little support available to me, and that continued into adulthood, where it interfered with my mental health, and my ability to find work.

Psychomachia. Top Story - May 2024.
"Fragile. Handle With Care." You dropped my heart Cognizant it was made of glass I watched it descend in slow motion A careless mishap? A sabotage, mayhap? You put the blame on the wind And thrived in that chasmic cosy chaos ~~~~~ I wish I knew then, what I know now I failed to notice that a neon sign Above my head blinked "disposable" It overshadowed my warning label ~~~~~ If I weren't so myopic If I was just a tad psychic If I had followed the maps of my gut If I knew where your trail of paint would lead to I'd have stopped you long before ~~~~~ You were aphasic in dialect Nothing more than an empty envelope Or a cassette with its tape pulled out You felt so macho, like a champ But you're a psycho and a chimp ~~~~~ I'm feeling so conflicted Should I beg you not to leave? Or leave it to the cosmic energies? You don't believe in karma but you will When it shoves strawberries up your ass Watching you erode would be my bliss

Obsidian Light. Top Story - May 2024.
Beneath Mount Etna The cavern’s floor was rugged and jet black. Rosalie needed to pay close attention to every step she took or she’d risk tripping on hardened clumps of lava. The ominous glow from the cinnabar combined with the firelight from Orazio’s torch kept the cavern illuminated enough to slowly maneuver through.
