humanity
Mental health is a fundamental right; the future of humanity depends on it.
NARCISSISTS FORCE YOU INTO ALIGNMENT WITH GOD
There is an ancient mystery: if God is everything, where does the darkness belong? In the beginning, there was darkness—and God said, Let there be light. The universe itself seems to speak in this language: light and shadow, death and renewal, creation and dissolution. Even the yin-yang carries the paradox: each contains a seed of the other.

What the Heck Is Wrong With Me?! The Wild History (and Reality) of Neurodivergence
Hi everyone. Or at least the person reading this right now. Before diving into this piece, I figured it'd be nice to introduce myself. I'm Joanna, but on this journey, you can call me Anastazja—my pen name. At first, I wanted this introduction to be completely perfect. But then it clicked: I'm not perfect. Nor is anyone in this whole world. And since I'm not perfect, neither is this writing. But I promise to make it interesting.

I Got My Health Back. Now I’m Learning To Trust My Body Again.
No matter the seriousness and magnitude of an illness (whether acute, a virus, an infection or unfortunately something on the right side of chronic), injury or other medical setback; of course the aim is to seek appropriate help, support, and medical attention as soon as possible. The aim is to focus on a full recovery and "get back into it." Unfortunately (the same is true with mental illness) capitalism (and this crazy, prolonged cost of living crisis) does not give two f*cks about your body, and vice versa. Recovery is never linear. It is never a straight line. Recovery isn't just the physical elements of being a soul who is living in a human body. It (recovery) is mental, and definitely emotional.

Introduction of Coping Skills Series
I have, personally, long felt the calling to write about mental health topics. In doing so, I wanted to help others who also struggle feel less alone, to motivate myself to practice coping skills and improve my own mental health, and to form a sense of community.

Margaux Hemingway was living your Instagram feed in '75. And it killed her.
Long before the curated life was old money, a Hemingway was dying inside of it. A ‘soft girl era’ is trending across Pinterest and Instagram, a minimal aesthetics filled with photos of your most simplest moments; a morning latte, a phony ‘candid’ photo, a psychology book intentionally placed on your sofa. Intimate aspects of life that were once kept private are now shared with the world. But this trend isn’t new. Before supermodels and their lavish lifestyles we see today, there was Margaux Hemingway—the striking ‘face’ of the ‘70s generation when it came to fashion and modeling. Her intimidating and mysterious aura captivated women globally. The media turned her into the muse you aspired to be.

What I’ve Slowly Come To Learn About Happiness
A friend recently showed me his ‘happiness graph’. It depicts the evolution of his perceived sense of happiness over time. One of my first thoughts was pfff, white people — then I remembered that I, too, was white people.
