Those who study or practice psychology and apply it in real life are called psychologists. One of the different types of work of these psychologists is child psychology. Child psychologists work with child psychology - such as talking to school-going children about their minds and daily life, or experimenting with how to get some children with certain mental development problems to move on with normal life. Audit and talk to their parents.

What is Child Psychology?

Child psychology is one of the most important subjects in psychology. From the time a child is born to the time he or she reaches adulthood, his or her mental, social, educational, and developmental implications include the changes and experiences he or she experiences in every moment of his or her life.

This type of change or experience occurs in a child, especially within the age range of three --->>>

The first is between the ages of 1 and 3, the second is between the ages of 3 and 6 and the third is between the ages of 6 and youth. As children grow older, they experience a variety of social experiences, including rapid physical changes. As a result, his or her mental development is also affected.

Child psychology focuses on all of these issues and also on how a child can make the most of these changes and experiences as he or she grows up in a very natural and positive way. According to the world-famous psychologist Sigmund Freud, when a child is born, his mental speed is very selfish and full of arrogance. As he grows older, he becomes acquainted with reality by his parents, which enables him to come out of his arrogance and self-interest and create his own ideals by understanding social reforms, customs and principles.

The role of the guardian behind the emotional development of a child is immense. Parenting is not something that one has to learn or read, it is a natural role that is naturally a means of gaining affection and emotional strength for one's child. Whether a child likes it or not, what good things to teach him or what bad things to give up, how to strengthen his mind, etc., as a parent you must do everything. All of these roles are extremely important on child psychology.

Child psychologists are open to their parents or teachers about their normal activities such as building healthy relationships through social interactions, respecting adults, understanding their own good and bad, concentrating on reading or other matters, and any doubts or fears. Pay special attention to things like saying, etc. If for any particular reason a child is found to have any deficiency in these normal behaviors, these child psychologists speak directly to that child using their own experienced knowledge as needed. If necessary, he talks to his parents and finally decides whether the child needs any special treatment at all. Usually through a few sessions they find out the child's problems with the child and help him choose the way out of the problem.

Why is Child Psychology so important?

Parents can understand their child as they do. They do not make any mistake in understanding the good, bad, skill, ability, everything of their child. But, many times it is seen that even after doing so much, some parents do not understand the right problems of their children and try to meet the needs of their children by wrong method. Many times they can't even do the right judgment. In most cases, these are not very harmful, but in many cases, the results can be harmful. Therefore, it is very important to understand your child psychology as a responsible parent.

Everyone wishes their baby to be normal and healthy development. But if you do not understand exactly which of your child's behaviors or movements are normal or abnormal, many times your child's development may become abnormal and difficult instead of correct or healthy. This is why child psychology is needed.

Nowadays, child psychologists are specially appointed in almost all the schools of the world because children without family can be observed in the most perfect school. Pediatricians help you understand the difference between your baby's normal and abnormal movements. It will also help you understand exactly how to handle your child for certain uses. As a result, not only are you helping your child to develop properly, socially and emotionally, but you are also helping him to gain new experiences and learning in every step of his growth. Also, there is another important reason to understand child psychology. Children often have some mental or developmental problems that parents may not be able to understand. Such as excessive agitation or fear, abnormal inattention to study or other matters, not being able to remember some very simple things easily, etc. Since parents or teachers do not understand these problems at first, they often punish or scold the child for a variety of reasons that are actually extremely harmful. There is no benefit in this, instead the problem increases.

In this case, if you take the help of a child psychologist, he will help you understand the causes of your child's real problem. Children suffer from a variety of mental health problems such as ADHD, autism, traumatic events in childhood, and so on. In these cases, your child may need special treatment and medication.

Understanding Child Psychology :

I have already told that how important it is for a parent to understand child psychology. In this way you will be able to understand many problems of your child and in the future your child will have a healthy and normal mental development. The guardian is like an umbrella in the child's life which always gives him protection and strength. So, let’s find out here how you can help your child develop properly i.e. what are the ways to understand child psychology?

1) Notice well : The more you notice your child, the more you will understand their emotional state. What they are doing, how they are reacting to something, when they are hungry or sleepy, when they want to play, what kind of game they like, whether they are afraid of something, whether they can get along with everyone, whether they are learning new things etc. Do not compare your child with any other child. This will make your child lack confidence and your parenting will become harder and harder.

2) Spend time with the baby : Parents are too busy to spend time with their children these days. But if you do not spend time with children, you will not understand their true problems. In this case, you need to arrange your tasks properly and do the previous work before and after the next work. Be sure to set aside at least some time for your baby while you are at home. Try to find out from his or her what he or she did all day today, what was a good or bad experience, how their studies or other things went, whether they wanted to tell you anything, etc. Children suffer from loneliness when they do not get close to their parents. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. One thing to keep in mind is that when spending time with children, do not in any way interfere with the third thing related to your office or anything else, such as mobile phone, laptop, etc. The amount of time that children actually expect from you should be exclusively for them.

3) Notice the environment in which the child is growing up : The environment plays a huge role in the mental development of children. So your special responsibility as a parent is to keep an eye on all aspects of your environment. How long he or she's been hanging out with someone, what kind of games they are playing with friends, whether there's anyone around who looks at your baby differently, what kind of language is being used among your baby's friends, and so on.

4) Focus on the development of the child's intelligence : If the child has any physical problem, the parents can easily understand it. But in most cases when a mental deficiency occurs, it is not easy to understand. It is also important to focus on the development of the child's intelligence. See how much your child can remember, what he is learning from his life experiences, whether he is developing his own decision making ability, and so on. No matter how much you care for him, one day he will have to stand on his own two feet and use his own intellect.

5) Listen carefully to the baby's words : In addition to talking to the baby, it is very important to listen carefully to the baby's words. Many times they may want to tell a story or some kind of experience. See what they are really trying to say, their tone of voice or facial expressions, body language, etc. The children's story actually reveals their own personal situation. Ask the child questions without asking any special questions where they can answer in a lot of words and you can listen for a long time. The answer to that question is simply "yes" or "no," and you won't understand much.

6) Study child psychology : Nowadays there is no subject that you cannot read even if you want to. With the help of internet you can get answers to many questions related to child psychology. In addition, various books or coaching classes can provide information on child psychology. If you notice any unusual or strange behavior or fear in the child, try to find it immediately on the pages of a book or on the Internet. But don't come to any conclusions in the first place. Try to focus more on the symptoms first. Because, there are many mental problems whose symptoms are similar to each other. So without reaching any conclusion unnecessarily, take the help of a child psychologist and tell him everything openly.

7) Compassion : Children's problems can only be better understood when you put yourself in their place and feel their problems. This will help your child understand how much you care about them. As a result, they will not forget to share everything with you when dealing with any situation in the future.

8) Don't do these things :

• Guessing or thinking that your baby has or does not have a problem.

• Compare with other children.

• Somehow to judge his situation or problem.

Difference between child psychology and child development :

In child psychology, the child studies the physical, mental, social and emotional development of the child from the psychological to the adolescent stage. Whereas in the case of child development, the physical, mental and emotional growth of the child is also practiced.

The main differences ➡️⤵️

✓ Usage — Child development is not only a single field of developmental psychology, but also a complete sub-discipline of child psychology. Using child psychology as a foundation, psychologists use theoretical knowledge in the chain for practical application.

This function does not apply to developmental psychology.

✓ Attitude — In developmental psychology, the perspective of psychologists in child development research is much broader than that of child psychology.

Some mental disorders of childhood :

Children get different aspects of their use and development from their parents, teachers and people in the society. Most children have problems with inattention, but there are some problems that do not seem normal in general. Then you must seek the help of child psychologists. Below is a discussion of some common childhood mental disorders.

1. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) :- This is more common in children. Common symptoms of this type of mental disorder are excessive inattention, impossibly naughty and arrogant, extreme anger, stubbornness or crying, and so on.

2. Depression and bipolar disorder :- The most common symptoms of this type of problem are mood swings, extreme laziness, anger and crying, and so on.

3. Anxiety Disorders :- These types of children are very anxious and scared. One by one the amount of this fear or worry increases so much that they can’t even sleep at night.

4. Asperger's Syndrome :- This mental condition is not completely autism but can be considered a partial problem of autism. These children are not very social, do not like much change in their daily life movements, cannot look straight into the eyes, have strange verbal and physical postures, do not feel sympathy and have very little hand and foot movement.

5. Learning Disability :- These types of children cannot learn anything easily because they cannot concentrate on anything. Even their ability to remember is very low and they are unable to determine direction.

6. Disruptive Behavior Disorder :- This type of child experiences a different kind of satisfaction from irritating other children. Even going to a social event is a lot of fun by breaking the rules or vandalizing things. They can lie and even steal.

7. Eating Disorders :- This type of problem usually affects children with anorexia or bulimia. They usually have a kind of picky mania or the thought that eating something will make them gain weight or make them look bad. As a result, they cannot eat and vomit after eating a little.

If you think that all children have the same type and mental state or that the same type of parenting applies to all children, then your idea is completely wrong. Roles like parenting and child psychology can seem quite time consuming and one-sided; but do not forget that understanding child psychology is very important for the proper development and care of a child.
