late nights, no lights, just me and the plan turned nothing to something with blood on my hands they smile for themselves but they don’t understand

An empire is rising fast, built it brick by brick now they want a piece when the whole thing lit I was out here grinding, they were sleep on the kid
Now the block feel different, like the air got thin Every corner got a story, every story got sin He was trying to win, but the game rigged in
They try to keep up, but the pace is too much Every move I make got the city in clutch Sweat on my skin, but it’s diamonds that shine
Steel gates slam, lights flash red in the hallway Mama crying on the line, "they took my baby away" He was just chasing dreams, now they chasin' his name
Walk in the room, thermostat drop dead Every eye on me, yeah they know what’s ahead Sweat on their brows, they ain’t even moving
I seen them come and go like the wind through the trees talk loyalty loud but they move like the breeze I kept it a hundred while they played it greasy
Woke up to the sirens, red and blue lights flash Cuffs on his wrist, they were taking out the trash Mama on the porch screaming through the glass
Spit fire, leave the pavement sizzling Drip lava, watch the haters shriveling Temperature rising, no AC surviving I’m the reason summer nights stay wilding
Woke up with a dollar and a dream in my pocket Coffee cold, still smiling, ain’t no way I will stop it Text from my day one, said the rent got paid
Came from nothing, pockets full of lint and ambition Now the same block cheering when they see the vision Single joy hit me like a drum in my chest
Mama said patience is the price for the glory Single joy hit me like the end of a story Still in the trenches, but the light getting nearer
