Now the block feel different, like the air got thin  

Every corner got a story, every story got sin  

He was trying to win, but the game rigged in  

Now he just a number, just another one in  

Told his girl he was changing, said he had a plan  

Now she's holding on, praying for the man  

Little brother looking up, trying to understand  

Why the ones that make it out always get the can  

They got him on a Tuesday, took him in the night  

Now the streets whispering, trying to get it right  

But the cycle keep spinning, keeping up the fight  

Another soul caught up in the black and white  

He was just a product of the life he chose  

Now the life he chose got him wearing them clothes  

Now the life he chose got him doing them shows  

For the people in the system, for the ones that know
