Electric Dust
Verse] Cracked mirrors reflecting the void Shadows creeping no meaning employed Dust storms raging inside my head All I see is ego till I'm dead [Verse 2] No cosmos no stars just a lie Human breath burning under the sky We build our worlds from electric haze Subjective prisons endless maze [Chorus] Electrified dust in the wind we spin Born of nothing yet trapped within The universe is just a scream in the dark A hollow echo no god no spark [Verse 3] Fragments of thoughts scatter like ash The ego's fire burns out in a flash Reality’s a game we play alone Truth dissolves like skin to bone [Bridge] No galaxies to guide us through Only our minds breaking in two The dust we are the dust we’ll be A fleeting whisper in eternity [Chorus] Electrified dust in the wind we spin Born of nothing yet trapped within The universe is just a scream in the dark A hollow echo no god no spark

Clouds
I've not done one of these for a few days because I've been concentrating my publishing on challenge entries. I was going to do a classic song, but over the last few days I've fallen in love with a new British band called unpeople, who are just awesome. Their album We Are unpeople was released today and is already in my top ten of the year. The band sound sincere, look like the coolest misfits, and dance between subgenres of rock and metal with purpose.

The Prison Cell That Had No Prisoner
The Prison Cell That Had No Prisoner There was a cell in an old prison, Where no one dared to go, It had been empty fifty years, Or so the records showed, The door was made of heavy steel, The walls were damp and grey, And every guard who worked there, Would hurry past each day.
