Passion Fruit
My name is Krenar. I am a 25-year-old Aries male. As you can tell from my picture, I am a photographer. I wasn’t always though. It had found me in my darkest moment. Before having a passion for anything I was a lifeless zombie 🧟♂️ constantly working for who knows what reason. I worked and worked and worked countless jobs for a reason I can’t even begin to explain; maybe there was no reason, maybe I was just working because it was what I was supposed to do from societies standpoint. I had worked over 25 to 30 different jobs from the age of 16 until now, at 25. It is a considerable amount of moving around. I was trying to look for a place to set my feet down permanently, but just felt so out of place. The reason for this was the fruit I would find later in my journey of growth. To say who I am is a dreamer and an optimist. I try to look for unknowingly talented individuals and encourage them with the best of my energy to get them moving to where I know they will be. I got lost at some point in my life, add a few more wrong turns, and finally, I am here writing to you. So, the worst moment of my life—and I’m sure that it was for many of you as well—is when you find out what that wall is that’s hurting you and blocking you from your final goal, destination, finish line, etc. Mine was battling myself and fighting the fact that I was a spectator and observer. Rather than accepting this at an early age, instead I rebelled against our more intelligent intuition (gut feeling) to have more experience in my own personal development, which so heavily weighted on my being. I am grateful for all I have gone through, but as we all wish for, less heartache would be better. I had lost everything I had built multiple times. Four to be exact. My car, girlfriend, social life, job/career, and another piece of my soul withered away from each experience. I had felt as if my soul was being withered away from my existence.

Seven years ago I started taking photography classes in high school, not knowing the amazing skills I would eventually learn and the type of work I would start making. Originally from San Diego California, I moved to Williamsburg, Virginia when I was about 6-years-old. I remember being fairly young going to the Filipino cultural center with my grandparents where I would go around taking photos of everyone at the parties they so often had on a Polaroid my grandparents gave me. I would then sell the candid snapshots for a dollar and make bank at the end of the night and cash out at “Toys’ r Us” the next day... specifically on “Ben 10” action figures.

1. Not Being Original All of us look up to someone in a certain career/ interest. Although it is perfectly fine to look up to those people, never copy their ideas. When you see a picture on Instagram from your favorite photographer, don't take the exact same picture from the exact same angle. Be unique and follow your own path.

Matthew GodleyPublished 5 years ago in Photography7 Essentials That Every Photographer Should Look Out for and Have
Let’s face it, there is truly an oversaturation of photography when it comes to the world today. Pretty much anyone and everyone out there is picking up a camera and claiming to be a photographer. Such are the times that we live in, indeed. In this sort of an atmosphere, it is hardly a surprise that most people find it quite hard to distinguish a professionally trained photographer from someone who has picked up a camera for the first time. All in all, it has never been easier for people to take up photography as a hobby. Having said that, it is indeed worthwhile noting that pursuing it professionally and taking it up as a hobby are nowhere close to being the same thing whatsoever.

For some people, opportunity doesn't come knocking at the door to save you from a burning house when the chips are down. To a chosen few, opportunity comes as factory equipment ingrained in their DNA prior to birth.

It all started off like just about any other shoot with an aspiring model. My friend was new to the photography world, and he was hoping to improve his portfolio. He found a willing model who was down for TFP online, they met up, and they did a shoot.

As a former model, I can tell you that looks matter—even though they really shouldn't. Denying that people judge everything on appearances is just downright foolish.

The creative field of photography is one that juxtaposes itself, in a sense. While there have been plenty of advancements in technique and technology, the goal still remains the same—capture a beautiful moment in still time.
