Digital Cameras In 2020
Technology is getting advanced day by day in all fields of life. Few decades ago, very few of the modern gadgets exist, which were then a considered luxury that only elite class could afford. Camera was one of them. Although early camera history starts a few centuries ago, the present day cameras started to roll out in late nineties. As the technology evolved, camera got better, smaller and affordable. Mobile phone (later smartphones) enabled us to have camera available all in the time without any hassle. Although smartphone camera fulfils the majority of tasks in everyday life from selfies, social media posting to event / get-together photography and video recordings. But the professional photographers and enthusiasts still prefer digital cameras over smartphone due to clearer and high resolution pictures, customised manual settings, verity of camera accessories and lenses to choose from. Digital camera has got lots of advancements in recent times with new technologies making it even better. Here, we are providing an overview of modern day camera types with their benefits.

Jingle All The Way
This Christmas postcard from 2000 is the product for when your sister is seven months pregnant, and you are a muse for your photographer friend, Tony Stamolis. Tony booked a holiday show in NOHO at a beloved hole in the wall bar, Tom & Jerry's. Though he had a smorgasbord of photos for his exhibit, he needed some with holiday spirit. My sister and I, as models, offered all kinds of perks for his creative eye. She had the perfect gift in her belly and I came with bells and whistles. I wish I had that photo of my sister with the big red bow on her belly to add to this story. If you will, picture on a blood-red wall backdrop, a profile of a taught, perfectly shaped basketball sized stomach decorated by a red sticky tape bow. That photo made the cut for the exhibit, as did this photo of me taken 20 years ago. Tony liked it so much, he turned it into the invite mailer, and I used it as a Christmas card that year.

photos during the Coronovirus epidemic
With the Coronovirus raging on, I've done some exploring around the city to beat the ennui and boredom I have been feeling the past 9 months. From Molly's Cupcake, which won the cupcake war on the Food Network, in the South Loop to a beautiful dog park on Michigan and 14th Ave. to a colorful outside patio bar (Flo & Santos) on South Wabash to a random trip to IKEA and the forest preserves in Schaumberg, yours truly has done some ambulating around the streets of Chicago. I also treated myself to some take-out dim-sum from Minghin, a Michelin restaurant in the South Loop and to some mango and lychee and honeydew bubble tea from the same place (talk about double-fisting :) Although it wasn't the same as eating in at the restaurant with the beautiful decors and ambiance, I loved the siumai, the shrimp crepes, the egg custard tarts, and the BBQ pork buns that transported me to the fares of Hong Kong.

Winter Photography
It was early January 2017 when I took this photo. Along with at least several others. The temperature outside was around 10 to 20 degrees below 0. But the surrounding areas looked like an actual winter wonderland. The sky was fairly clear. And all the white snow and ice glittered in the sunlight. Despite the rather bitter cold. The scenery was beautiful. Only a foolish photographer, hobbyist or professional, would let a chance like this slip by. And it was all close to home for me. But there was one slight problem in my case. My car didn't exactly have snow tires. So a friend of mine took some time out of his day to give me a ride on my short but sweet expedition. So I grabbed my camera. Dressed myself as warmly as I could before setting out on the short drive.
