First photo shoot of 2021.
Wake up. It was 6am and my alarm was buzzing, I have a Fitbit that I use as an alarm, instead of some horrible loud noise I get a gentle vibration on my wrist, it really is a great way to wake up, plus I set it to wake me when I am at my lightest sleep so I wake up easier and feel better when I do. Despite having to leave in half an hour I was sluggish to say the least.

If you're a videographer like myself who loves new gear (let's be real, who doesn't?) and want to be able to diversify your portfolio with different shots and angles, buying a drone seems like an amazing idea and investment... but it comes at a cost.

Importance of a test shoot.
Recently I was contacted to do a shoot at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, which as it turns out I have never been to. I'm sure we have all been to Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens but how many of you have been to the Alice St ones? This shoot was booked for a Thursday afternoon at 5pm and being that I have never been and its location I decided I should probably go and check it out and do a test shoot.

Sigma Dramas
2020 was a crazy year for many, I was one of the many. Most have been quick to label 2020 as a terrible year, understandably so. For myself it was a year full of ups and downs, many professional and many personal. For today though i'll just discuss the photography side of things.

Want to Take Your Photography to the Next Level? How to Be a Travel Photographer
Most of us like to take happy snaps and selfies, but a few take a deeper interest in photography. Photography is considered an art form and like other forms of art it can be used to evoke an emotional response from the viewer of the captured images. It is both technical and artistic at the same time.

Montréal Film Archives: 1
Going through old archived negatives is always full of surprises, ranging from: “wow I totally forgot about this shot, I love it!” to: “what was I thinking?” and: “what is that even a photo of?” So I’m sparing my readers the pain of looking through examples of the latter two and sharing some of my favourite shots from the 5 years I spent living in Montréal. At the time I only shot film. It is not until recently that I have begun to adopt the digital medium, but still I favour 35 millimetre photography in large part because I find the process oftentimes much more gratifying, peaceful and meditative.
