My Favourite Books Of All Time | The Best Books I've Ever Read
5 Books - 5 Different Genres
Are you having a hard time deciding what to read?
I got you.
The number 1 reason why we people try reading, but, give up after one or two chapters, is because they chose a boring book. A lot of people begin reading self-help books, which aren’t particularly the most interesting. Books, at least the first ones, should be exciting. They should hook you instantly, and manipulate you to keep reading.
A lot of people have different interests.
That’s why I chose my top 5 favourite books in 5 different genres —
#1: Mindfulness: Man’s Search For Meaning
A book that every generation must read.
This book is about Viktor Frankl. He was an Austrian Jew who tells his story of being a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. There, Viktor uses psychotherapeutic methods in order to find meaning in the hell that he was living in.
It is a window into a world that we shall never come back to, but, should get a glimpse of.
It is a book about love, hope and human limitation.
Man’s Search For Meaning — Viktor E. Frankl
#2: Psychology: 12 Rules For Life
Do you want to get your sh*t together?
This book will help you achieve that.
I don’t want to sound sassy, but, Jordan B. Peterson saved my life. He opened my eyes to all my problems. He proved to me that I was lying to myself and I wasn’t pursuing what is meaningful. In his book, Jordan writes about 12 rules that will help you change your life for the better.
You will discover lots of unwanted secrets about yourself, which is good.
Arguably the best self-help book out there.
12 Rules For Life — Jordan Peterson
#3: Science: Why We Sleep
We sleep 1/3 of our life.
Why would mother nature paralyze us every night?
Matthew explains why sleep is so vital, how it can improve our day-to-day performance, and most importantly, how lack of sleep dangers our health. The author breaks down the process of sleep, how drugs affect our daily sleep, and how to get quality sleep every night.
At the end of the book, Matthew suggests lifehacks that will make you healthier, more productive and help you get better sleep.
Why We Sleep — Matthew Walker
#4: Adventure: The Count Of Monte Cristo
I fell in love with fiction after reading this book.
It’s 1814. Your name is Edmond Dantès, an innocent, honest, and loving 19-year-old sailor. You’ve just been offered the job of your dreams, and you’re about to marry the love of your life. When suddenly, 3 men frame you for a crime you haven’t committed. You are sent away to rot in a prison on a deserted island.
The main character follows this amazing arch of tragedy to redemption and revenge.
I genuinely love this book —
The Count of Monte Cristo — Alexander Dumas
#5: Biography: Steve Jobs
The most extreme balanced life.
He was a misunderstood genius. A very charismatic persona that believed in his ideas, like no other. The person that proved the whole world wrong. The person who has hugely influenced our society. A leader, an inventor, a designer, a perfectionist, a man of taste. Blessed with the ability to read people.
One of the most exciting lives with an ending that he could overcome for later.
Steve Jobs — Walter Isaacson
I chose 5 books in 5 different genres. I think you will find at least 1 of them worth reading.
