5 Things To Do When Anxiety Is Blocking Your Creativity
5 Things To Do When Anxiety Is Blocking Your Creativity I'd been at a complete creative standstill for about a week, without art or writing. Depression and anxiety had been wreaking havoc on my inner peace, which directly correlated to my creative output. My motivation had gone out the window, and all I wanted to do was curl into bed with the blinds shut. Miraculously, or not so miraculously, I cut that depression crap away with warrior machetes and have found myself again.

Quick Dirty and Wrong
Quick Dirty and Wrong For a long time I have wanted to start writing, not to write a book but to see what it does to my thought’s. According to people smarter than me writing is a form of thinking. A lot of people talk about the benefits of writing to clear the mind and even inspire new ideas and bolster creativity. I tend to have a messy and unstructured mind so I am interested to see what regular writing does to change this.

10 Things I Have Done To Not Go Clinically Insane During Lockdown
Well my friends, it is May 12, 2020 and the lockdown is still in place where I live in Canada. That means that we are still required to stay at home unless absolutely necessary - which is more than fair.

Thank You For Helping Me Reach My Rock Bottom
Even before COVID-19 spread and the whole world was put on hold, I felt lost, stuck and alone. Two weeks before Premier Doug Ford declared a State of Emergency in Ontario, Canada, I turned 40. To say I was dreading this particular birthday is putting it mildly. I outright ignored it. I’m single, childless, living in my sister’s basement, overweight, working a thankless job that pays slightly more than minimum wage and buried in debt. This is not how I pictured myself turning 40. I didn’t think things could get worse. And then the quarantine happened.

Kissing Las Vegas
When the downtown of my city opens again I will take my friends or companions and we will follow the night to where the wind blows! Wether it be a spontaneous adventure to The Strip, Fremont Street, a complementary show at a nightclub, or a view with music of the Bellagio Fountains and taking selfies with costumed strangers. With the different possibilities in the air we won’t need a mask for, we will see the life in and outside of the casinos again as it was before COVID19 and follow what the nightlife has to offer us.

BUS ROUTE
Its probably a twisted fantasy; more than most daydreams… but sobriety does that to me. Living here has me existing in my consciousness. My mom constantly wanting to be praised and seen as the boss. Its fucking exhausting! I used to argue a lot more with her. Constantly needing to prove my point. Lately, I try to bite my tongue. Knowing she’s been worse… My dad, he’s a quiet, hard worker. Then my siblings also wary, with kiss ass agreements always in place. They thoroughly have zero back bone. Always in agreement. Even when it ruins their chances. I should have known to stay away. But it’s the only place I had left. I shouldn’t be annoyed of that fact but I am. It’s truly pointless to argue back with her. As I get older, her ways become even more obvious. Like what the hell do you think this is? Children are for life! Not just 18 years. If you couldn’t accept that responsibility, WHY DID YOU KEEP HAVING CHILDREN? Never the less, I continue to love, reflect, understand and forgive. My family must drive into town to buy food and goods. The stores are two hours away. I would literally have to tell them some bullshit excuse of why I’m leaving. When I’ll be back… it’s like being a child, living in your parent’s home all over again.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow
This is it. This is the time we've been waiting for. We all came into isolation without knowing what to expect. It was a new, challenging, uncertain time for all of us. We've worked hard, baked and cooked like there's no tomorrow, lounged, stayed at home, exercised, binge-watched countless series and kept our distance from each other. However, we are ready. Ready to face the outside world and be free from the four walls we've been in the past whatever weeks.
