Stars
I once looked up at the stars one night and thought to myself “this is only half of a puzzle.” A collection of things deep in space that don't make sense – and I wondered; if things don't make too much sense to us, why do we strive to reach out to them? Why do we want to understand things which we can not comprehend. As I sat and studied the small piece of the universe I could see through my eyes, another thought came to me. The questions that we struggle with the most are often the ones we don't want to be answered. If we knew the answers to every question, if every problem had a solution, we wouldn't know the beauty of uncertainty.

Learning To Surf
Life is like a wave. The ebb and the flow we experience is constant and inevitable. Things come and they go. Moments shift, emotions change, we feel happiness then sadness etc...One without the other is next to impossible. Everything has its polar opposite. For example, let's look at an actual wave...the water at the bottom (wave trough) begins to move upward into a wave crest. If neither the bottom or top of the wave existed, the wave itself would not exist. Make sense? There are the ups, the downs and everything in between. Learning how to navigate and find the grace and balance between the three, is where our work lies. This journey is something our souls crave.

A Mighty Fire
The power of the individual is like igniting a match. The single flame could light other matches but the start of it has to remain with the individual match. That is the inner glow of the individual. Each person, each human being is an end unto him or herself. This means that the individual cannot be disposed of in any manner based on the “needs” of others. I learned this fact thirteen years ago and still exhibit the promise.

Sunset Memories
We always tend to blame the things happening around us for missed opportunities that we didn't take, but if we look back maybe we had more control over what we could have done than what we chose to do, I know personally for myself I could have gone on more walks with the people I love when I had the opportunity, I chose not to go and now because of this pandemic I would love to go on a walk and look at the sunset while talking about the things happening in life, but I'm not sure how long I will have to wait to get an opportunity again since life's changed so much. I never imagined that time was so precious until I started to realize I had less of it to spend. Even as an adult I still can't explain why a sunset looks so beautiful and why I'm drawn to it. Sometimes when I see a sunset I can't help but stare and be mesmerized by the beauty of it.

The Serenity Prayer Energized
When I was a child, I went to Al-anon meetings with my cousin. My uncle was an alcoholic. I learned the Serenity prayer there. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

When Life Gives You Lemons....
So you’ve got a little bit of happiness and success through all your years of hard work. You have your nice big house, you’re wealthy, you’ve got everything you ever wanted. Basking in the glory of it all, feeling on top of the world. Unstoppable. But,oh,no...LIFE! And it’s got a cute little brown weave basket in its hand. You see a little smidge of yellow from a distance. You suddenly realize... “Oh,no! It’s LEMONS!!” You’ve got it all together until life throws you lemons. Sometimes the biggest ones it can find and it’ll take ‘em and just toss ‘em at you like the best umpire in baseball. A real SOB life can be. Hell,a pain in the ass,a buzzkill,a killjoy, the most heaviest weight of all weights in a gym you could ever life and carry. It even puts even mooooooooore weight on you just to give you a hard time and make you wanna drop as fast as a snap of your finger. It makes you through hardships,it kicks you down and down some more and it’ll leave a lotta sand it’s kicked in your face. It’s ok to cry and scream and shout. GET IT ALL OUT!! But,the question (to yourself) is: do you really wanna do that for the rest of your life? Throughout all that pain and agony does come good times and great memories. I’m not saying life is all sunshine and rainbows. IT’S NOT! I’m not saying it’s an easy road either. I’m saying when life starts sucker punching you,you can let it keep beating you down and stay down or you can get up,dust yourself off and fight back. I’m other words, kick life’s ass or you let life kick your ass. You’re giving life the “ok” to keep letting life bully you and push you around if you keep letting it. But if you keep getting back up,you’re showing it your strength and your courage. You’re telling life “You can’t beat me. I got this.”. Life is like one of those bullies you have to deal with or witness from kindergarten to high school. They’ll humiliate you and treat you like dirt if you let them. But,try not to think of the hard times they gave you. Think of your outcome and how you overcame that instead. Think of life as one of one of your bullies and compare that to how you made it through and got past all those bullies. So again, the choice is yours. When life gives you lemons, you can let them stay as lemons or you can take them and make lemonade. What’s your decision? Lemons will only stay lemons if you let them. But,if you take squeeze them and keep squeezing them, you’ll get all the lemonade you want. You’ve just gotta be strong enough to handle the sourness to get the sweetness. That means it’ll be tough to get to the other side where the grass is greenerbut it’ll be worth it when you get and/or have what you work hard for. You can pray and hope for it as well, but you have to play your part too. You have to work hard for what you want, even if it means breaking sweats 24/7, 9 to 5, maybe even 6 days a week. So,when life gives you lemons, remember these 2 options: a basket of lemons or lemonade. The choice is yours.

OceanGangQ—How it started
I’m going to take it way back to when I discovered that thing we call passion! As a youth I moved around alot. I was born in Cartersville, Ga [The Ville] and my father was in the air force at the time. My mother was working crazy hours as well and both made sure that my siblings were well kept. They built a foundation on hardwork and always reminded me to work for what I want and not accept less. Because of the blood, sweat and tears my family put in, it made me into the person you see today.

Legendary Poetry: Where is my mind?
Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where could it have possibly have gone? I remember having it once. Now it is gone. Far gone. Far, far away never to be found again. My mind is a distant memory to me. To be honest, I don't ever remember having a mind. Ever. And ever, and ever, Amen.
