The "Joys" of Adulting
As I'm sure anyone reading this (assuming you're around your mid-20's and older) would know, being an adult is incredibly rough. It looked fun when we were kids, but really, it's just more stress and hassle and I don't know about y'all... But I've been finding myself doing more and more things that I really don't want to do just to get by in my life. When did being an adult go from being fun to being stressfully depressing? Why can't anything as an adult be as easy as most of our parents made it look? Well, I might not have all the answers to those questions... Ok, I don't really have an answer at all for those. But here's what I do have: Hope. And in a world where having Hope is the most useful thing you can have, I'm here to tell you how to keep that spark alive.

12 Habits of Highly Effective Entrepreneurs
One of the most important things you can learn about yourself and your goals is successful in people's habits. Habits are just that, patterns we develop over time that help us keep on track. For example, you may have a habit of taking off your shoes at the end of a meeting or the end of every day of work.

Reminders and Lessons
To be frank, every time I’ve sat down and wanted to write, I freeze. I overthink. I don’t feel like I have anything to say, and thinking back – that’s absolute bullshit. I started writing again to have a place to vent and feel because I love it and sometimes I need it, eh, a good portion of the time I need it. So, I came into my backyard after getting drinks with one of my best friends, Marc, I’ve now poured myself another double and told myself to write it out. For those who watch Grey’s Anatomy (and if you haven’t, shame on you, you have no excuse now cause we all got the time), Christina and Meredith don’t like to talk about their feelings, we have this in common a lot of the time, so they dance. They dance until they feel happier, and if I learned anything during the last eight months of being stuck in my hometown it’s that dancing it out, writing it out, singing it out, crying it out – whatever your method may be, don’t be ashamed of it, embrace it, do it every chance you can. Also, a playlist was made for this exact purpose if you wanna refer back a couple story, it's called, yes you guessed it, Dance It Out.

Being Thankful is...
What is the meaning of being THANKFUL? Well by two definitions in the Oxford Language Dictionary, it is used as an adjective and means to be “pleased and relieved” and also means “expressing gratitude and relief.” We also know being thankful as an understanding of what someone has done for us in our lives to help move us forward in the journey to achieving the goals we set forth for ourselves. But, when I think of being thankful, I don’t see a person or persons specifically. I am thankful for too many people that have helped me through my journey that trying to single one out is not just difficult but a bit disrespectful to those others that have equally offered the same help. I could also choose to be thankful for having God in my life. But, to me it is a bit too theoretical to go into detail about. So, what I truly want to be thankful for is...the feeling of HOPE.

Soul Speaking Moments
The doctor came in looking fearful and worried. He tapped the file in his hand over and over. Tap, tap, tap, tap… He was young and inexperienced, working late night in the ER. The doctor that gave me my official diagnosis and treatment was an experienced, cure creating genius who I owe my life.

2020 is NOT a Bad Year
As this year is coming to a close in the next month or so, I've been reflecting on everything that has taken place. There's been many downs, we can all agree. But there's also been some tremendous, very significant ups that I think, as a collective, we all may not be acknowledging and allowing these ups to carry us into the next year with smiles and happy feelings.

How bad do you want it?
There is something you desire.. You don’t have to say it or even tell me. Write it down, if desired. Maybe you won’t have enough paper or time to write everything down about EVERY LITTLE THING you desire. Don’t feel guilty for not writing it down or anything of the sort. We all have lives we got to live that need our daily attention. Why dream about those desires when you may thing that they may not come true? For example: dream desires, travel desires, job desires. You certainly can achieve anything you set your mind to. Leave doubt, worry, fear and negativity in the past. Let the shining future be warming to your daily life, knowing tomorrow can be better than today; when we think positively.

Thankful
Thankful Sarah Johnson Nov 21, 2020 What is thankful? Dictionary.com defines thankful as, “feeling or expressing gratitude; appreciative,” (Thankful. 2020. Retrieved from https://www.dictionary.com/browse/thankful?s=t). But what is thankful to you? When someone asks you this question, do you come to a brick wall? Do you have a moment of pausing because you can’t think of anything to be thankful for? Do you have a list of a million things that go flying off like sparks because there are too many to name? Or do you have tears that swell up in your eyes like me because you’ve been stuck in both. I know for some this year has been a year in which many have lost their jobs, many have become homeless, many feel like they're losing it all, many have been separated from families, some have had to learn, (for their first time) to teach, cook, and work from home. Some have even fallen in love with this while others it’s been really tough. That’s ok, the reality is that there is always something we can be thankful for. That might be a hard pill to swallow for some more than others, depending on where you are in your journey.
